I had planned for another beauty review for today, but yesterday’s MOTD made me change my mind.
When another blogger reviewed this palette, I was mostly blown away by the size of this product for the price. (It’s as big as my hand!) Of course I was a newbie to contouring, so I didn’t think to buy it back then. Also, it was incredibly hard to find at the store. These were only Walmart exclusives when I found out about them, and not too long ago, these were being sold at my local drugstore. That’s when I grabbed it!
Size: .44oz
Price: $4.99
Product Description from Wet n Wild:
This duo of perfectly complementary contouring powders delivers a flawlessly sculpted face in no time flat. The deeper color defines while the lighter color highlights your best features, leaving you at your #nofilter best, whatever the occasion.

This contouring palette is amazing! I did a look with this palette just yesterday without any other contouring products and the result was incredible!
I decided not to wear foundation underneath to see how it would hold up, and it did great! Just look at how chiseled my cheekbones look! I was only able to test this product during cloudy weather. I still need to test it during hot weather as well to see how it holds up then. (We haven’t had much sun this week.)
This palette is decently pigmented and it’s phenomenal for the price. The product is a bit powdery though, but you can make it work by tapping off the excess and applying it with a light-hand. It’s buildable and also very blendable! I think you’d have a hard time blending it if you were to use a lot of product.
The package says it’s a new formula, so I can’t really compare to the old one. However, the new formula feels smooth and buttery, I really can’t believe this product is only $4.99. I’m glad I didn’t spend a fortune on a different palette when I can get the same results with this one. (For the record, I would buy another palette and compare!)
Swatch:
The highlighting shade barely shows up on my skin, so I have to build it up. This highlighting shade can also be used for baking under the eyes, which is what I’ll be using it for.
The contour shade shows up on my skin just fine. I liked that it is not too warm or too cool toned. Had I gotten Caramel Toffee, I think it would have been far too dark for my skin tone. Anyway, when blended thoroughly, these shades look great.
Pros:
- Super affordable!
- Blendable
- Buildable
- Smooth & buttery formula
- Decent pigment
- Not too warm/cool
- Cruelty-free!
- Vegan!! (It’s true! Here’s a list of their vegan products!)
Cons:
- Powdery / Lots of kick back
Conclusion:
With this contour palette you have to be very light-handed because it’s pretty pigmented, and also powdery. Despite this, I absolutely love this palette, I may start using it more often! I definitely recommend this palette to everyone, even to beginners.
