Mini Product Review:

I had heard lots of good things about this product and a lot of people commented that they really liked it so I was really excited to try it. I loved that this product doubled as a detangler–I have a detangler I use each time I wash my hair, and it was amazing! Even better than the one I have, my hair detangled SO FAST! I swear. Took me like half the time.

I did notice my frizzy hair was tamed and I thought the scent was nice and subtle. My hair felt shinier, smooth and it didn’t get tangled as much as it typically does. I WAS ECSTATIC!! I will definitely try to buy the full size! 😀

Royal & Langnickel MODA™
Royal & Langnickel Precision Angled

ipsymay2017_royal&langnickel

Quick Description & Claims:

  • Multi-tasking brush.
  • The domed, angle shape works for almost everything, like nose contouring, under eye concealing, and eye shading. TBH, we’re willing to bet it’ll be the hardest working brush in your kit.
  • Made from ultra-luxe synthetic fibers, so it’s 100% vegan.

Mini Product Review:

I love receiving brushes, and this one is SOOO SOFT!! I loved it so much I tried it for everything I could think of. I didn’t think it worked well as an eye brush as it’s too thick/wide to be used on the crease (just my personal opinion), but I thought it worked well for creating a smokey eye and concentrating the shade on the outer v.

I tried it for setting my under eye area and also for highlighting the top of my cheeks. I LOVE that this brush is vegan! I will have to look into the rest of these brushes for sure. 🙂

Jelly Pong Pong
Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in Electric

ipsymay2017_jellypongpong

Quick Description & Claims:

  • It’s a velvety powder (doesn’t crease even on oily lids).
  • The stay-put shadow won’t mess up your makeup when blending.
  • The pigment-packed color stays vivid and bold all day (and we mean ALL day).
  • It’s gluten-free, paraben-free, AND cruelty-free.

Mini Product Review:

Ok, so all the claims of this product are TRUE. It is velvety smooth, and it really doesn’t crease. I did apply on my eyelids and blended it out towards my crease and it stayed put, I was surprised! I think these shades swatch nicely, but I had trouble getting the pigment onto my eyes with a brush so I used my finger instead and it appeared to be more pigmented. While application is much more precise with a brush, it didn’t seem as pigmented than when I used my finger which was a bummer.

Also, I felt that the powders looked a little patchy on my eyes, which was the weirdest thing. Even though I applied it evenly onto my eyelids, it appeared as though I hadn’t completely covered my eyelids. I assume it was the way light was striking the glitter but I’m not so sure. I will keep experimenting with it and see if I can make it work another way or as a topper.

Urban Decay
Afterglow in Sin

ipsymay2017_urbandecay

Quick Description & Claims:

  • The powder formula is super duper finely milled, which means it’s creamy but still majorly light-weight.
  • Long wearing luminizer that lasts from morning rush hour to 6PM happy hour (and beyond).

Mini Product Review:

This is yet another champagne-hued highlighter–which I have a ton of and I wish I would get different shades. The highlighter is so finely milled and lightweight and it applied like a dream. I didn’t use it all day long, but it looked amazing and it was really pigmented. 🙂 I would have to say it’s a little buildable as well which is nice.

Watch a quick swatch video:

As always, I took a note on how it looked under different light settings. In this case, direct artificial light, indirect artificial light, flash, and natural lighting (in a cloudy day). There are two swatches in the video, one with primer and the other without, but I think that it still looks the same.

Mellow Cosmetics
Creamy Matte Lipstick in Nude

ipsymay2017_mellowcosmeticsipsymay2017_mellowcosmetics2

Quick Description & Claims:

  • Creamy and moisturizing, you won’t believe it’s matte.
  • Infused with Vitamin E, to prevent dry lips and makes pouts silky, satiny, and smooth.
  • Perf for owning a “no makeup makeup” moment.

Mini Product Review:

I took soo many pictures of this lipstick because I thought it was beautiful! The packaging is gorgeous and sleek and the bullet has the word ‘Mellow’ embedded in it.

This lipstick felt creamy when applied and it did dry down to a matte lipstick. However, I felt that it took quite a while to fully dry down. It does transfer and I think this could be due to the vitamin E as it keeps your lips smooth. Anyway, the formula was nice and I like that it didn’t dry my lips at all. 🙂 It lasted me through a meal but I did have to reapply at the center after my meal since I was going out the door.

I do have to say, that for a “nude” shade, this one is surprisingly dark. Or I’m not understanding why they named this shade “nude”. Even so, it’s a very pretty plum rose shade that I think would be perfect for fall or winter.

Quick Look using All Makeup Products:

I used the Jelly Pong Pong Eyeshadow Duo on the eyes and the Mellow Cosmetics Creamy Matte Lipstick on the Lips. 🙂 I have to say, these products went really well together.

I got the Urban Decay highlighter too and I fell in love with it upon the first swipe onto my cheek! It’s so gorgeous on, it looks amazing on you too! I love how prominent it is! You get all the best lip colors too! That shade is amazing on you with your skin tone, I love it. I can’t even remember what lippie I got in mine, I know I got one but I didn’t like the shade…per usual! You got a really good bag though, win!!!!
