Happy Friday dolls!
Last beauty product review of the week! π
After sharing yesterday’s rambly post, I feel so much better! Sometimes we just need to let some things out and share them, even though it’s not always easy. Thanks to those of you who gave me some feedback on that post, it’s nice to know I have people on my corner even if they’re hundreds, or thousands of miles away! β€ Much love to you all!
Now let’s get to this review!
Product Description from Ulta:

This durable sponge is washable and reusable, and perfect for use with all formulations including creams, liquids, and powder foundations, concealers or blush. Price: $5
This was the first blending sponge I ever used. The first time I used it was with a CC cream and I was surprised at how it practically blended into my skin. I had applied the CC cream with my fingertips, before getting this beauty sponge, but with it, it looked much smoother.
I do have to say that it absorbs some product, so that was kind of a bummer, and after I finally tried the RT sponge, this one was a bit heavier and thicker in comparison. However, compared to the RT sponge, this one was more durable and less prone to tears.
I really like this sponge and it has it’s advantages and disadvantages compared to the RT beauty sponge, but I would say that the pros and cons balance out pretty well. It’s just as affordable as the RT sponge, and it does its job very well.
Pros:
- Soft
- Bouncy
- Nice, curvy shape
- Blends nicely
- Durable
- Less prone to tears
- Affordable
Cons:
- It can absorb some product
- A little thick/dense
I really like this beauty sponge. It’s another good alternative and I like to keep it as a spare if my RT sponges are dirty and/or I need to use another one for a different purpose.
Have you ever tried this beauty sponge?
If not, would you try it out?

This was my first blending sponge and I was super impressed by it LOL. Then when I bought the RT I of coursed liked RT more, but I like the fact that this one is more durable, but it’s also not as soft and bouncy as the RT sponge. BUT, it does has its advantages and disadvantages π

If you have Bed Bath & Beyond around, check their beauty section and look for StyleWorks makeup sponge.. I LOVE that sponge.. I never purchased any other sponges since then. π

Try wetting the sponge before applying your foundation to help with the density issue of the sponge!

I always do, but unfortunately that’s how the sponge is made. Which is fine, I loved it when I first got it, but after trying the RT, I did see some differences. They both have their advantages and disadvantages when compared.
