Marc Anthony
Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Oil Treatment

Quick Description & Claims:

This lightweight hydrating treatment makes your hair shinier, silkier, and smoother without weighing it down. This slick stuff protects your hair from splitting and breaking, so it’ll grow longer, faster. It’s full of awesome vitamins like Biotin, which keeps your scalp and strands v healthy and happy.

Mini Product Review:

I think after getting about three other hair oils, I’m pretty sick of getting hair oils right about now. Each one feels the same in my hair and this one only makes my hair look shiny. I know Jenny mentioned that she loved it and it made her hair look so much healthier, but my hair isn’t dyed and I didn’t notice any other difference. Great that it has lots of awesome vitamins but I wouldn’t repurchase.

Cruelty Free? No, not leaping bunny certified.

Loose Eyeshadow in Purple

Quick Description & Claims:

Can be used for anything from a subtle wash of color to an all-out dramatic look. Your furry friends are safe. These are not tested on animals. Purple is a shimmery, metallic hue (great for a new twist on a smoky eye).

Mini Product Review:

If you remember from my first impressions in my reveal post, I mentioned not liking loose eyeshadows because they tend to be a bit messy. It wasn’t as messy as I expected but I didn’t really like this eyeshadow either.

According to the claims, you can use a small amount for a wash of color on the lid, or go all out and create a cute purple smokey eye! I was only able to get a subtle wash of color and not so much a “smokey eye”. This loose eyeshadow wasn’t as pigmented as I hoped, and I tried applying using a brush and my finger. Turns out I was able to apply it much easier with my fingers.

Overall, I was disappointed with this product and I prefer pressed pigments, but I will do my best to give it another shot.

Cruelty Free? Yes.

Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro

Quick Description & Claims:

A creamy, comfy, hydrating formula. (Shout out to Vitamin E!) Long-lasting, no touch-ups required. This shade lives up to its name. Retro is the most perfect (and flattering) vintage-y pink we’ve ever seen.

Mini Product Review:

During my research about whether this brand is cruelty-free or not, I found out that this one is Made in the UK! Not only that, but this one costs a whopping $23.50, which is pretty pricey. Does the price reflect quality though?

The answer is yes. Although the shade was terrible for me, the lipstick formula is VERY lightweight! It dries down QUICK, and it’s transfer-proof when it dries down completely! Shocking! The only lipstick I know that does that is the Maybelline Super Stay 24, but I won’t repurchase that in a different shade because the brand isn’t cruelty-free.

The cons? It’s matte so it did feel very drying on the lips (although still a little comfortable). This is the kind of lipstick that would also accentuate the dryness in your lips, so it’s important to exfoliate and stay well-hydrated. One more thing, it’s incredibly difficult to remove without the right makeup removal product.

Overall, I think the liquid lipstick formula is AMAZING, but I dislike the shade.

Cruelty Free? Yes! (Confirmed through e-mail)

Urban Decay
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion

Quick Description & Claims:

This pencil really does last allll day. It glides on like butter. Meaning that crisp lines, graphic looks, even a cat eye is actually easy. The inky black shade blends like a dream, so you can really smoke it out for that rockstar chic, morning-after-an-epic-party vibe.

Mini Product Review:

I loooove how smooth this eye pencil is! It didn’t disappoint. It’s definitely the smoothest I have ever tried, buttery is the right word. It also does stay on for quite a long time. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites because I can also do a subtle smokey eye 🙂

Cruelty Free? Yes!

Sorry no MOTD this time!

  1. These products all look great! I love Perversion in my lower lashline/waterline (but if I tightline with it on the upper waterline, my eyes get irritated). That eyeshadow is such a pretty purple, even sheered out!

    1. Awh well that sucks, and that’s weird that you can wear it on the waterline but you can’t tightline. And it is pretty, I think I had super high hopes for it, I’m a little bummed out that I didn’t’t like it as much. ;/
