November 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Happy Tuesday dolls!

I was very pleased that the majority of the November Ipsy bag was makeup, with the exception of a lotion and a brush. Spoiler alert: I loved absolutely everything! It was a perfect bag and I’m glad to say that I’ve used a lot of these products regularly.

Bag Contents:

The White Company
White Lavender Body Lotion

Quick Description & Claims:

It’s got notes of lavender (duh), Sicilian lemon, and vetiver that lingers on skin all day. It’s moisturizing but feels light (so layer on as much as you need).

Mini Product Review:

I didn’t mind receiving a lotion this month because my skin has been particularly dry, not only because of the cold but because I also wash my hands very often. I love how moisturizing it feels, I’ve decided to use it as a hand cream. The scent of lavender relaxes my mind–it’s so subtle (but there) and the scent definitely lingers on the skin all day.

This lotion would be perfect after a bath before bed to lull me into a deep, relaxing sleep.

Cruelty Free? Unknown.

Crown Brush
C141 Small Chisel Brush

Quick Description & Claims:

Soft bristles, lightweight, easy to handle, and the perfect size for applying highlighter and blush.

Mini Product Review:

It’s definitely soft and lightweight. I do find myself using these kinds of brushes for blush and this one applies it so nicely.

Cruelty Free? The brand itself is not entirely CF but they have a vegan brush line.

Naked Cosmetics
Mother Nature #06 (Loose Eyeshadow)

novipsy2017_nakedcosmetics

Quick Description & Claims:

This loose powder is really easy to apply, can be used wet or dry, and looks awesome on all skin tones. The shade is so pretty for a pop of metallic color all over your lids, but also works on your lips (just mix a bit with some clear gloss on the back of your hand and dab on). If you want to turn up the drama, it also looks fab layered over a darker shadow for date night.

Mini Product Review:

I don’t usually read much of the product’s description so I didn’t realize this loose eyeshadow could be used wet. However, even dry, the shade is lovely it looks duochrome.

The loose eyeshadow formula is soft and almost buttery. It has a metallic finish and it is not chunky. It applies nicely but I hate that it’s loose powder. As much as I tried to not make a mess, I found that it was still inevitable no matter how careful I was.

Regardless, it’s a great formula and a gorgeous shade.

Cruelty Free? Yes, Leaping Bunny certified.

tarte
Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Feisty

Quick Description & Claims:

Fun fact: It’s made with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon river.

This stuff benefits every skin type. Oily? It minimizes oil in and around your pores. Dry? It’s crazy hydrating and helps your skin hold onto moisture. Combo? It’ll keep your skin balanced and happy.

It’s soft, silky, and easy to blend with your fingertips or a brush.

Like the name says, it really lasts all day. Your gorgeous flush will not budge.

Mini Product Review:

I received the shade I wanted and I feel as though it was a perfect match! As you will see in the swatches below, it looks a little pink, but it looks really nice against my skin tone. It gives me the perfect wash of color.

The formula is incredibly soft and it lasts all day. I can apply a subtle tint or I can pack it on the brush a bit more without looking too over-done. I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to try this blush because I’ve been wanting it for such a long time!

Cruelty Free? Yes!

Colourpop Cosmetics
Ultra Satin Lip in Calypso

novipsy2017_colourpop

Quick Description & Claims:

Long-wear lip color. Calypso is a warm pink with brown undertones.

Mini Product Review:

The product description didn’t say much besides the fact that it’s long-lasting, which I found to be true. Since it does have a satin finish, it’s still bound to transfer. However, even so, it manages to stay on quite well. If you eat something greasy, you might need to re-apply, but otherwise, you’re good to go!

The formula is simply one of the best satin finishes I’ve ever tried, I can definitely see why Colourpop is hyped, especially this line. I would love to get a few more shades in the future. As far as this shade goes, I think it’s gorgeous and it suits my skin tone well, and I found it to be a really good shade for the colder months.

Cruelty Free? Yes.

MOTD & Swatches:

I love this smokey, metallic look. And I love that this blush and lip go so well together.

The swatches obviously don’t equate to actually wearing the product, but they’re all really pigmented products.

November’s Ipsy bag was actually a good one for me, I love ALL the products and I will definitely keep using some of them throughout the season.

    1. I thought you could purchase it? Maybe I’m thinking of another brand..
It’s a relatively inexpensive brand so I wonder if maybe that’s the reason they’re not selling over there? Would do them good though.
