St. Patrick’s Day MOTDs — Collab with Surrealistique

GUYS GUYS GUYS!! 😀

I know it’s like super late / super early (midnight at time of posting this–my time zone), way earlier than I usually post, but I have teamed up with Britney from Surrealistique to bring you yet another collaboration and I’m so excited about this one too!

Britney DM’d me on Twitter and she had the idea to do something for St. Patrick’s Day and I immediately loved it! I did want to do something for St. Patrick’s Day but I was kind of stuck and this collab gave me the little push I needed.

For this collab, Britney and I each created TWO makeup looks. We will each be featuring one of our looks on our own blog posts, and the second looks we have swapped. So I will be showing you ONE of Britney’s looks and she will be showing you one of mine. So if you want to see a total of FOUR makeup looks, or you simply need a few more ideas for St. Patrick’s Day, look no further, we have you covered! 🙂

MOTD #1

I’m not going to lie to you guys, this final look was actually my third attempt! I knew I wanted to create a gradient look, but I had a hard time picking the right shades lol. Despite all that, I ended up really loving this [third] and final look.

This makeup look took a long time because black shades can ruin a makeup look quicker than you’d imagine. So I spent quite a while blending it all out until I was pleased. I think my hard work payed off. 🙂

Britney’s MOTD:

I think Britney’s look is super gorgeous and I looove the glitter she used. Glitter always makes everything look a bit more festive, so why not?! I’m loving the bold green, glittery lips too! 😀

Here’s what she had to say about her makeup look:

One thing I love about any holiday is that it’s a great opportunity to be festive and get creative, especially with makeup. I didn’t want to do a simple every day makeup look. Instead I wanted to do something a little more crazy that you might wear to a St. Patrick’s Day themed party, rave, or some other fun event. In this case, I decided to go with glitter because it’s not something I wear often, but it’s super fun.

I used some colorful and cheap Shany eyeshadow palettes for the base on my eyes and lips. (The palettes don’t even have names). I used beige/gold shades on my eyes, topped with gold glitter, black liquid eyeliner, and of course mascara. I used a vibrant shade of green eyeshadow on my lips and then topped that with the gold glitter as well.

What do you think of these two looks?
Please don’t forget to check out our other looks on Britney’s blog! 🙂

  1. I’m glad we waited until we published our posts before we got to see the other looks. This is seriously so gorgeous! I love the gradient of the green fading into a black shade. Also, green is a magnificent color on you! I think it looks much better on you than it does me. This was so fun! 😀

    1. Oh my gosh I know!!! It’s so exciting, it’s like we’re revealing some sort of surprise LOL 😀
Awh thanks you’re too sweet! Green is one of my favorite colors but I have such a hard time playing with green eyeshadows =P
I’m heading over right now to see yours too! 😀 ❤

  2. That green looks great! I love all the blending, and I definitely agree with black getting overpowering easily – I probably would have gotten impatient with it on my third attempt. Have you tried using dark shades like navy or hunter green instead of black? I find that they don’t look as muted quite so easily and can be easier with layering/blending the shades. Also, I really like the pink lipstick complementing the green eye look!

  3. I’m still so so in love with this greens look since seeing it on your instagram! The other look you did reminds me of a masquerade mask, it’s such a pretty green!
I didn’t realize that you were on youtube for some reason, I love that your son is just chillin in the background haha
I like these collabs because I can discover new bloggers, this is my first time discovering Britney’s blog and I love the looks she did too!

Yeah I meant to do a wearable look and one that wasn't, but I think I could have done a bit more to it. LOL.
Yeah I have a YT but I haven't uploaded in such a long time because I haven't had the time 😦 I really want to start making more videos though
I love collabs too so if you ever want to do one I'm all for it! I'm sure we can find something to do together 🙂

It’s so hard to find time for every social media platform! I want to try making videos but I’m so swamped coming up with content for my blog & Instagram plus living my life, I totally get it!
Collabing would be so fun! I’ve never done one before 😊
        I went and followed her!

        1. hahah I do that A LOT, I’m so used to doing that when I text, little after thoughts LMAO
I have ideas for videos just no time, and I also don’t want to spend my entire life in front of my computer and life with a kiddo is tough lol. For now I’m happy to be working on my blog, I have so many blog posts coming up this month and somethin’ somethin’ for next 😉
We can always brainstorm and see where that leads us! They’re really fun, all the collabs I’ve done have brought me closer to those girls, two of them have become my BFF’s 😀

        1. Thanks so much! 🙂 And it’s a song you can use for free on YT, I follow various channels that provide free music, cause I don’t want to get copyrighted LMAO
