March 2018 Boxycharm Review

Hii guys! Here I am again.

I did want to publish my March Boxycharm review before I get my April box (which is already on its way). I want to get better at publishing my beauty subscriptions posts two weeks after unboxing because I definitely want to post other reviews of products. I know I’ve been slacking on that, and it’s not intentional, I just have so much other stuff I want to share with you!

Anyway, I will be working on product reviews because I [MISS] writing those up, and I will definitely do my best to get two or three out each month, even if that means I post them all in one week. Ok, let’s get on with this review!

  • Boxycharm x Pür The Complexion Authority Eyeshadow Palette (will have a separate review)
  • Butter London Double Decker Lashes Mascara (will not be reviewing)
  • South Mane Beauty Under Eye Gels
  • The Vintage Cosmetic Company Smokey Eye Makeup Brush Set
  • Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush in Hush Blush

Note: I WILL ONLY BE REVIEWING THREE (3) PRODUCTS TODAY! Butter London Double Decker Lashes Mascara is unopened, will give my thoughts after I finally try it since I have so many other mascaras. The Boxycharm x Pür The Complexion Authority Eyeshadow Palette will be reviewed separately either this week or next, so stay tuned!

The Vintage Cosmetic Company
Smokey Eye Makeup Brush Set

Quick Description & Claims:

This brush set trio will enable you to create a stunning Smokey eye. Use subtle tones for a natural look, or bright and bold hues for a party look.

Mini Product Review:

These brushes are really soft but they’re not my favorite brushes. They’re a bit dense than I like them to be, but they’re not too bad. I can definitely use the the angled brush for the outer corner if I want a smokey eye, and the shadow brush to apply shimmery eyeshadows.

I didn’t feel as though the shadow brush picked up a lot of products, but maybe it depends on formula, I’m not too sure. I didn’t really play around much with them because I already have my go-to brushes.

I’ll try to play with them some more.

Cruelty Free? No. In an email they stated that they “cannot guarantee that all of our products are cruelty-free”.

South Mane Beauty
Under Eye Gels

Quick Description & Claims:

Our eye gels are great for an easy mask without the clean-up. They soften and moisturize to ensure that you look rested and refreshed!

Mini Product Review:

I really liked these under eye gels. My skin definitely self hydrated, refreshed and soft. I didn’t actually use them three days in a row like they suggest (for better results) but they’re really good and I wouldn’t mind purchasing them because they’re affordable.

One thing though, they do slip a bit, which I know some people won’t like it but it’s not that big of a deal to me.

Cruelty Free? Nothing is stated on their site. Will update when they reply to my email.

Pretty Vulgar
Make Them Blush in Hush Blush

Quick Description & Claims:

Make Them Blush powder blush awakens your complexion and provides a natural, glowy flush to your cheeks. This silky-smooth formula is long-wearing and highly pigmented. The buildable blush powder can be worn alone or paired for a multidimensional pop of color that will flatter any complexion.

Mini Product Review:

I love that this product is CF, paraben, sulfate, and gluten free! Also, it’s vegan! Whaaa!!

I loved this blush way more than I thought I would. I’ve been reaching for it every single time I’ve been doing my makeup. It’s my favorite blush now!

It’s decently pigmented and when I picked up a lot of product in my brush the first time I used it, I was able to keep blending it out without worrying about wiping off. The formula is amazing, it’s so soft and it’s also long-wearing. Apparently these blushes are buildable as well and will flatter any complexion. I do think that it does have some kickback, but nothing too crazy. A light-hand would help a lot.

Cruelty Free? Yes! Some products are also vegan!

  1. I can’t wait to try those eye masks. I received the pink blush which is way too bright. I wish I’d have gotten that one. Also, I agree about the brushes…they’re just meh. My April is on its way too!

    1. I liked them. Other people have said they’re not as good but I also haven’t tried many eye gels so I cant say for sure. But that’s too bad, have you tried barely dipping your brush in and just doing it very lightly? Sometimes I’m able to make some of my brighter blushes work for me.
And I can’t wait to see what Colourpop palette you get!!
