Unboxing — April 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag

Hii guys!!

I’m working so hard on the rest of my posts for the remainder of the week. I’ve been pulling all nighters because I really really want to get ahead since I fell behind when I got sick last week. The rest of the month is pretty much all full, and I’m excited to get many posts out. πŸ™‚

This is my last Ipsy bag! I’ve been an Ipsy subscriber for a year now. I don’t have any problems with Ipsy, in fact, their customer service is one of the best. And it’s not the type of products they send either. I was usually pretty happy with each month’s bag, even if I only liked one or two products. But I decided that it was time to say goodbye again. Perhaps in the future I will re-subscribe, but for the time being, I’m really happy with Sephora and Boxycharm.

Theme: Social Butterfly

The bag is really pretty this month. I think it reflects the theme quite well and they chose the prettiest color palette, white and rose gold.

I love love the butterflies, and the shades that were chosen for them, it makes the bag look almost monochromatic. This is probably one of my favorite bags! They did a fantastic job with this one and it also feels very springy.

Bag Contents:

  • THEORIE Hair Care Detoxifying Hair Mask
  • NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream in Ibiza
  • Delectable by Cake Beauty Triple Moisture Body Lotion in Coconut & Cream
  • Glamour Dolls Romantic Rose Blending Brush
  • BellaPierre Cosmetics Banana Setting Powder in Medium

First Impressions:

I was really pleased with this month’s bag! It’s a good balance between skincare, haircare and some makeup as well as a tool! πŸ˜€

I don’t think I’ve ever tried a hair mask, besides the deep conditioning ones, so I’m super excited to try this THEORIE hair mask. I also don’t mind a body lotion, I could always rotate which goes in my bag–I use them as hand lotions anyway.

I think I’ve seen the BellaPierre banana powder before, I’m not too sure. It looks really yellow, and I have yellow undertones too but who knows.. I am a little disappointed that the NYX SMLC is in the shade Ibiza because I already have that shade.. BUT, I’m thinking I will keep it wrapped and stash it for a future giveaway when I reach 1k. πŸ˜‰

And of course, I can’t say no to makeup brushes! This one looks super gorgeous and I also redeemed my points and grabbed another brush! πŸ˜‰

What did you guys receive in this month’s bag?
And how do you like the subscription? Like it or hate it?

    1. I agree it is. It’s gonna be sad to not receive the pink mailer in my mailbox anymore, but…I’m loving Boxycharm right now lol. And the only reason I got ipsy first was because it was one of the cheapest and I loved the bags they send. I literally use them as clutches sometimes lol.

  1. I’m probably going to cancel my Ipsy also now that I’m going to have a mortgage to pay, but I haven’t decided if I want to cancel it now or wait another month.

It looks like you got a decent selection this month. I’ve only tried one of the products I got so far, but I need to test them out soon so I can get my glam bag blog post up.

    1. If you’re not sure you can also skip months, I think you can do up to 3 months? Maybe 6?

I haven’t tried anything yet because I’ve been so focused with the makeup challenge but I’m just gonna have to get a basket and toss everything in there so I can remember lol

  2. I loved the bag this month, too!! It’s so pretty, isn’t it?! ❀ We didn't get ANY of the same products this month! I'd love to try that banana powder & the hair mask. The brush you got is so cute too!
