Influenster Finesse VoxBox Review

Hello!!

I know I’ve been posting a lot just today alone, but I almost forgot that I needed to put this review up this week. I also have to do several IG posts, so if you’re following me over there, I hope you don’t think I’m spamming you! LOL

Anyway, today I’m here to talk about the products I received in my Finesse VoxBox! Thanks to Influenster! ❤

Minute
Ready to Serve Organic Red Quinoa & Brown Rice

finessvoxbox_minuterice

Quick Description:

Minute Ready to Serve Organic Red Quinoa & Brown Rice with Garlic is a flavorful blend of crunchy organic red quinoa, organic 100% whole grain brown rice, organic garlic powder and organic onion powder. It’s packaged in a single-serve, per-portioned cup, making it a perfect option for an on-the-go lunch or side dish any time of the day.

MSRP: $2.49 (2 cups)

I LOOOOOVED THIS SO MUCH! Way more than I thought I would. I don’t believe I’ve had quinoa before and I’ve always wanted to try it. And how perfect is it that it was mixed in with brown rice!! Perfection! And it’s all ORGANIC! Win!! The only thing I don’t like is that I have to pop in the microwave but I understand that would be something to consider for an on-the-go lunch. But of course, using boiled water is my own personal preference as I hate putting thins in the microwave.

But anyway, this is delicious. It’s not chewy and I wish I could cook my brown rice to perfection like this one. I also ate this with avocado and it was just as delicious! I truly recommend everyone try this! I will have to find a way to remake this at home.

OLLY
Super Foods Smoothie

finessvoxbox_ollysuperfoods

Quick Description:

Whether you’re looking to fuel your next workout or just covering your nutritional bases, OLLY’s Super Foods protein powder has your back. This fully loaded blend delivers 2 servings of fruits and veggies worth of phytonutrients from six stellar super foods like pomegranate and acai! Each serving is packed with 15g of protein and 5g fiber.

MSRP: $29.99 (20.4oz jar, 15 servings)

Super delicious smoothie. I love that it’s packed with protein and fiber and you also get 2 servings of fruits and veggies with this! So NUTRITIOUS! Ever since I started working out, I’ve been thinking about drinking protein shakes to build some muscle because I’m a weakling lol. I’ve had protein shakes before but this one was far more delicious and tasty than other ones I’ve tried.

The only thing I didn’t like it that some of the powder doesn’t fully dissolve, but maybe that would go away if I was to blend it along with other fresh fruit? I don’t know. But I loved it and would love to buy it to try this protein powder in different ways.

Not Your Mother’s Naturals
Blue Sea Kale & Pure Coconut Water Weightless Mousse

finessvoxbox_nym

Quick Description:

NYM’s Naturals Blue Sea Kale & Pure Coconut Water Weightless Mousse provides a touchable, flexible hold, controls frizz and adds shine. Made in the USA with plant derived ingredients and formulated for everyday use and never tested on animals.

MRSP: $9.00

LOVE LOVE LOVE! First of all, I’m GLAD that NYM has come out with a natural line that is also cruelty free, because I stopped buying their products when I realized they weren’t CF, which was such a shame because their products are good for drugstore products.

Anyway, when I was younger and my hair was much longer, I always used mousse to tame my hair and make it look nice, voluminous and textured. Unfortunately, I could never find mousse for thin, fine hair, so I was forced to get one from Pantene or L’Oreal that was for normal hair (I still have it). That one weighed down my hair, and when I got this one, I compared them and you guys!! Seriously. Weightless!

I love this mousse. It tames my frizz and makes my hair look so nice and textured and I can still run my fingers through my hair. It also adds some shine, my hair looks healthy with this stuff! It doesn’t make my hair feel goopy and gross and I am able to use it on both wet an dry hair! 😀

Essie
Gel Couture Color & Top Coat

finessvoxbox_essie

Quick Description:

Nail polish with luxurious gel-like shine and finish in an easy 2-step system. Application is a breeze with patent-pending curve-hugging brush for perfect color coverage. No UV lamp needed and product removes easily with regular polish remover. Available in over 100 lustry shades!

MSRP: $11.50 each

Finally I got the chance to try Essie! Unfortunately they’re not CF, according to Cruelty Free Kitty, but the nail polish is really nice and I can see why people love this kind of formula. It dries FAST, and I mean FAST! So for someone wh’s constantly on-the-go and has no time to wait for polish to dry, this is perfect for me.

The brush was really nice, it made it so much easier to paint my nails and I’m very clumsy with that task (which is why I never do my nails myself). You do need two coats, at least with this shade (Pinned Up). I’m not sure if it would be completely opaque with darker shades, as I haven’t tried them yet.

The gel-formula is really good, and I love that it adds a nice shine, you almost don’t need the top coat but obviously still do to make it last a lot longer. It did chip but I mean, I wash dishes and cook and clean so I use my hands all day every day. Great quality, just wish they were CF. If you don’t care about that stuff, definitely recommend it.

    1. I love the shade it’s very springy. And that sucks. I don’t remember how long mine lasted for before it started to chip, definitely not that long, washing dishes a lot kind of ruined them much sooner lol

  1. What a neat unboxing! I love how it is a mix of food and beauty products, that seems pretty unique to me. Also, that mousse sounds great! I have always liked the idea of mousse for my hair, but I guess I never knew how to properly use it because it always weighs my hair down and makes it feel greasy, ugh. I like how this one sounds lightweight!

    1. Yes! It’s a nice lifestyle box I’d say 🙂
The mousse was my favorite product in this box. I usually do like three or four pumps and scrunch my hair. The mousse really brings out the shape of my natural hair (wavy) and it makes it look nice, healthy and soft. You should definitely try it, they’re fairly inexpensive in my opinion.

  2. I love that nail polish color, so pretty! I just recently bought some Olly protein powder and I really like it too, I might have to try out this flavor!

      1. It will be perfect for this time of year! I know what you mean, I’m trying to keep my nails nice lately. I got the flavor vanilla maple!

        1. For me it’s just a struggle to let the polish dry so I’m gonna have to try to get some of these gel polishes lol.
Oh that sounds yummy! But I wonder if I would get sick of vanilla too quickly.

          1. Ooh i know what you mean, I have a fast drying topcoat, that way it dries faster! Honestly, you can’t even taste the vanilla it’s more maple than anything.

  3. What a cool box. Lots of variety! I’ve had Minute rice before and didn’t like it, but it wasn’t that exact kind. It was white rice with butter (I think). That rice looks like it would be better. I’ve only used Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo and absolutely hated it, but that mousse still looks like something I would want to try.

    1. Yeah it was a good box 🙂
And that’s too bad. I like white rice with butter, I make it at home often and everyone likes how I make it lol. And this one was really delicious, it didn’t have that chewyness that brown rice can often have if not cooked correctly (which I still have to learn how to cook).. The dry shampoo isn’t the best, I agree that there are better ones, but I think it’s okay for me, it doesn’t really leave any white residue on my hair but I do have to wash it often. Now that I’ve changed my hair care a bit, I’m going to try it again and see if maybe I was doing something wrong.. Fingers crossed it works because I just bought a bunch of stuff yesterday LOL

  4. Hey!! That’s the brown rice & quinoa that my boyfriend and I use for our side dishes lol. Remember you commented about it on one of my recipe reviews?! How awesome that you got to try it!!! I understand about hating to microwave things. I’m the same way but, some things are made for the microwave only so ya have to and like you said, how hard is it to accomplish such good brown rice on your own?!
That nail polish color is really pretty, I didn’t know that Essie wasn’t CF. That sucks.

    1. omg is it really?? that’s awesome!! yay to finally trying it thanks to Influenster haha! Yeah, I suck it up for things like this, but it wasn’t that bad and I really liked it!
I know!!! I was like “I NEEED to get more shades” and then I looked to see their CF status and I was like “nooooooo!!!!” I think Wet n WIld has 2-step gel formulas like this, but i haven’t tried it yet. I think I should get one of their shades and see it if dries just as fast.
