Project Pan — Update #2 + Empties

Hello again!

It’s been 2 months since we last shared what we’ve used up so this is our second update, and I was so excited to share this with you because I feel like I’m making good progress on many things. 🙂

If you’re new here, I’m doing a project pan with a good friend, Andi from Ever Impractical. We will be sharing our progress every two months for the rest of the year, and hopefully we can meet our goals.

Product Empties

This is a combination of my project pan empties and my regular empties. Products listed in my Project Pan will marked by an asterisk (*).

Hair Care / Bath & Body:

I will briefly tell you about each product and link to reviews if I wrote any on them.

• * HASK Argan Oil Healing Shine Hair Treatment
  • — I liked using it to manage my frizz, but I think it made my hair too oily when I used it, so I won’t repurchase.
• * Not Your Mother’s Knotty to Nice Conditioning Detangler
  • — It detangled my hair so well, I loved it! It didn’t make my hair feel goopy. I don’t need it as much for short hair, but if I ever grow my hair out again, I’ll be using this one!
• HASK Argan Oil Lasting Oil Absorption Dry Shampoo
  • — I really liked this dry shampoo. It’s decent, the scent was subtle, and I would probably repurchase because I was able to go an extra day without washing my hair.
• Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask (read review)
  • — I really like Briogeo’s hair products, I would love to buy the full size!
• Marajo Nourishing Cleansing Creme & Deep Treatment Butter (read review)
  • — loved these products! They made my hair feel so soft and smooth, I could not stop touching my hair!
• Stella McCartney Perfume Sample (read review)
  • — It was an okay scent, not my favorite.

Let’s break it down….

Cleansers:

• Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser
  • — my favorite cleanser, I’ve already repurchased it for the 3rd time! I will have to do a full review on this soon!
• * Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths (x2)
  • — These wipes worked well. They wiped away dirt and makeup on days when I was too lazy to go through my whole skincare routine.
• * Klorane Floral Water Make-Up Remover (read review)
  • — Loved this makeup remover! So gentle around the eyes!
• * Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water (read review)
  • — Loved how gentle this cleansing water was, the first time I ever tried any cleansing/micellar water. I would buy the full size if they were CF!
• * Promise Organic Nourishing Coconut Milk Daily Facial Scrub (read review)
  • — Loved this scrub! Despite being a scrub, it was pretty gentle for every day use, I would love to get a full size. The coconut milk really made my skin soft.

Masks / Treaments, etc.:

• Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel (read review)
  • — I love products with retinol and though I don’t know how well it would work for wrinkles, I do like it for the retinol.
• South Mane Under Eye Gels (read review)
  • — Loved these under eyes gels. They do slip a little, but they’re pretty affordable. 
• * GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment
  • — Not a fan of the scent, and I also didn’t know they weren’t CF, so I won’t buy the full size.
• * Biobelle Perfecting Primer Facial Mask (read review)
  • — Loved these masks. They’re amazing!

Everyday Skincare:

• Tony Moly Rice Smooth Toner
  • — LOVE this toner, it’s my absolute favorite! It was super gentle on the skin and I wish I could find a replacement that’s as good as this one. I’ll have to do a full review.
• * Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream (read review)
  • — Now that I’ve used it all up, it was an ok eye cream. A little thick for my taste, but I wouldn’t buy the full size.
• * 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream
  • — Took me forever to use this eye cream, but I really liked it. It did decrease puffiness and my dark circles.
• The Soap & Paper Factory Shea Butter Hand Cream (read review)
  • — Another product that surprisingly took me forever to use. I loved the scent and how soft and moisturized it made my hands feel.
• Derma-e Hydrating Night Cream (read review)
  • — This cream is very thick so I was only able to use it during winter to keep my skin from looking too dry. It did an amazing job at hydrating the skin and I am almost finished with the day cream too.

Makeup:

• * Ulta Flawless Prime (read review)
  • — A good primer to cancel out some redness. I don’t think I would buy the full size though, I wasn’t super crazy about it which is why it took me so long to finish up.
• e.l.f. Cosmetics Eyelash Glue
  • — this one was very sticky but good. It did dry up really fast though, so that was a bummer.
• Wet n Wild Eyelash Glue
  • — a nice eyelash glue. Lasted me a lot longer than the e.l.f. one, but it did the job.
• NYX Colored Felt Tip Liner in White
  • — Loved this eyeliner in white. I used it a lot for more creative looks and have already bought a replacement. Love it!
• Clinique Lash Building Primer + High Impact Mascara (read review)
  • — This mascara was okay. It wasn’t my favorite.

TOTAL EMPTIES:

The past two months have been REALLY good! I could have done a few more products, especially sheet masks but I was so busy that I omitted certain skincare steps on days where it was already too late and I was too tired.

So how did I do?

I had a total of 26 empties for two months.

I would call that good progress! 🙂 I cannot wait to see if I can reach the same amount of empties in our next update, two months from now. I’m so excited about this!!
