Seasonal Favorites — Spring 2018

Hello again!

Summer is right around the corner (next week) and as usual, I bring you guys my seasonal favorites! 🙂

This season has been great though hard at times due to anxiety but all the good moments have practically vanished the dark moments in my life and I’m so glad to tell you that there’s more lifestyle on this particular favorites!<3

As always, feel free to scroll through whichever you’re most interested in, there’s something in here for everyone (I hope, lol!).

  • Dickinson’s Enhanced Witch Hazel Hydrating Toner
  • Formula 10.0.6 Picture Perfect Day Daily Moisturizer with SPF15
  • Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF15
  • tucker ashley Perfecting Moisturizer

I don’t have many favorites this season, only because I’m currently trying to use up some products for my project pan, and also, these are the products I’m using the most right now. They’re essentially my spring to summer transition skincare products lol.

  • NYM Beach Bae Texturizing Sea Salt Spray
  • NYM Naturals Blue Sea Kale & Pure Coconut Water Weightless Mousse

I love both of these products and I use them daily to achieve what I call my “signature waves” lol. So far they’re the only products that work for me, and if I ever get frizzy hair, I can manage it with hair oils and pomades. 🙂

These photos are from my May Instagram Beauty Challenge Photography post, but they’re really the products I use the MOST!

  • Tarte Tarteist PRO Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette
  • Ulta Rose Gold Natural Eyeshadow Palette
  • ILUVSARAHII x Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip & Lippie Pencil in CURVII
  • Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush in Hush Blush
  • Essence Pure Nude Highlighter in Be My Highlight
  • Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation

I LOOVE these eyeshadow palettes so much, they’re my go-to! And even though I don’t use foundation often, this one just looks soooo good on my skin!! And the highlighter and the blush are my fave! The lip liner and lip gloss have been my go-to as well pretty much since I bought them! 🙂

And I cannot forget about the best bronzer!!

The Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer! This bronzer is the best ever, hands down! No other bronzer looks as good as this one does on me 🙂

Of course I also cannot forget about my 30 Days of Makeup Challenge that I did back in April. It was so much fun and I did so many looks that it ended with me getting a little burnt out and in a creative rut but I’m so glad that I did it and I’m ready to get back into the swing of things 🙂

Make sure to check out a recap/lookbook of all of these looks: April 2018 Lookbook — 30 Days of Makeup Challenge

The following should be no surprise:

They just go SO WELL TOGETHER! I’ve been loving putting some outfits together with these two things for a little splash of color and it has made my outfits a whole lot better!

I wore this dress and cardigan several times, just with different shoes. I love it!! And yes, I used to have long hair LOL.

Some other outfits from this season:

Spring was an interesting season for me. It involved lots of traveling/road trips. The first was a road trip to the end of Oregon and back to pick up my brother. It was a long drive but very fun and I cannot wait to do it again at the end of the month! My brother and I will be going to pick up my mother and sister! ❤

We also had a lot of fun in our short family vacation to Seattle (read about our trip here and here) and that was so much fun! At first Ciel totally hated it and I don’t blame him, it was a new environment and definitely not home. But he warmed up to the idea quickly when we went out and did things as a family. ❤ I’m glad we’re making memories together! He keeps talking about Seattle as of lately because he remembers, so we have to go back soon! 🙂

And we also have been roaming our beautiful city
Currently we have the Rose Festival and that’s so much fun!
And I’m so excited to be going to the car meets again! 🙂

I have also taken up reading as a hobby and I’m so deep into reading that I have checked out like 5 books and my goal is to finish them before I have to return them next month, wish me luck! I’m pretty sure I’m pushing it LOL

And HIKING! When the weather is nice of course. We are planning to go to more places when the weather starts getting warm again and I cannot wait to show you guys where I’ll be going! ❤

And literally the highlight of the season, or the year probably, was getting to meet Mackenzie!! ❤ She’s the best and she’s also the first blogger I meet IRL! ❤

Wearing the same outfit from above LMAO

The Office again, no surprise there.. I also watched the second season of 13 Reasons Why and I loved it! I also watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 not once but TWICE! 🙂

I already mentioned a few of these in my WUW recaps, but I’ll just choose MY TOP ONES:

What were some of your spring favorites??

It’s crazy to think the weather is just starting to warm up for you, it’s so hot here haha! All the pictures are amazing, your posts are always so good you must work so hard ❤️. About season 2 of 13 reasons why… I just have so many questions just why it was so heartbreaking for me 😭

It’s still not as hot yet, we’re still in the mid 60s, but apparently, it’s supposed to get 30 degrees hotter up to the 90s or nearly 100 this upcoming week 😣
Awh thanks so much!! I really do work hard on my posts and have mommy duties at the same lol. It can be hard to balance all of it.
Yeah the second season was soo good. Definitely much harder to watch than the first season, but I appreciated all the twists in the plot and how they portrayed real life more closely, as upsetting as it might be.

Ahh warm weather coming soon! Your work on your blog is definitely noticed and inspirational! I know it must be hard to balance having a family and all but I think your doing an amazing job!
Yes it was definitely hard to watch and although I do not agree with all of it, their main “issue” was something I definitely understand why it ended the way it did. I do think they did a great job getting people aware of suicide and how small things can make a huge difference in some ones life.

Yeah the weather is crazy, literally was super hot today and then within an hour we got a freaking thunder storm LMAO
And thank you so much!! That means a lot! ❤ 🙂 But yes, very hard work but I always find my own free time to work on my blog.
Yeah exactly, that's the main thing to get out of it, hopefully people didn't look past it, because to this day, I feel like it's easier for people to commit suicide because of bullying whether it'd be at school or social media

I’m so happy you’re getting to make lots of lovely memories with your family! You deserve it, I hope those good times continue to flow. Family time is always so amazing and happy 🙂 Absolutely love hiking! I’m looking forward to hearing about your future hiking adventures. Love the Nicholas Sparks books, I haven’t read either of them but I of course have seen the films and I have read some of his work, he’s a very emotional author. I always cry at his stories. You can deffo achieve your goal of reading all 5 before they have to be returned, you got this! Have a lovely Summer gorgeous! I hope it’s everything you hope for! X

Thank you, family is everything. 😊
I liked the books but some of them I feel like fell short for me lol. I’ve only seen the notebook (the movie) and I thought it was ok lol. Though I liked the book better haha.
Yeah I’m onto the 2nd…? I’m doing my best to get through them lol.

Maybe because I read it first, and noticed the changes that were made for the movie, that’s why I didn’t like it, but there are times when people watch the movie first then read the book, they like the movie better? LOL. Weird.

Oh that’s totally understandable. Normally if you read a book first the movie is never as good is it!? Yes, I think it’s normally whichever one you experience first you prefer although really books have so much more depth to them because they aren’t time limited. I would always prefer to read a book first before watching the film edition 🙂

I’m dying to go to Seattle! It’s been a dream of mine for so many years and now I’m so close! It looks like you’ve had some great times though!

You could literally make it a day trip and enjoy some sights! But I definitely recommend you stay a few days so you can see a lot of it. Without a kid you might be able to see more than we did 😊 lol
But yeah seattle was really awesome.

Yeah I would definitely like to do more than one day! Haha, I don’t know. Having Lettie makes it hard to do anything. We can’t leave her at the house alone, so my mom would have to watch her or we’d all 4 go. 😂

        • ayrgalaxy says:

True, I’m sure Seattle has pet friendly hotels though! BUT you would have to be sure that wherever you go, having her isn’t a huge deal lol. So yeah, it’s tricky. I wouldn’t mind dog-sitting (is that a thing?) but she doesn’t know me very well I wouldn’t want her to be afraid haha
We’re actually planning on going for the day to go to the space needle and come back because we didn’t get a chance to do that last time we went. So if you’re down, the more merrier 😉

Yeah, I’d definitely have to make sure everywhere we went is pet friendly!
Do-sitting is a thing 😂 I would love for you to be her babysitter it’s just so hard because she has so many restrictions and she would have to stay with someone she already knew. 😞
Ooh, maybe we can all go together!

That makes sense, dogs do take a while to warm up to other people anyway.
Awesome. I will let you know in advance when we plan on going. We can probably meet up somewhere and drive there together lol.
