What’s Up Wednesday — June 2018

Hey everyone and happy Wednesday!

And also, happy Fourth of July to those of you in the states! Hope you guys have an amazing fun-filled day with your loved ones! 🙂  I’m going to jump right into this WUW 🙂

This is normally a link-up with Shay Shull from Mix and Match Mama. And once a month, we will be answering these questions:

What We’ve Been Eating:

Lots of veggies, thank goodness. I’ve also tried many new recipes. That post is coming, I promise.

We also got some drinks from Zero Degrees, I got the Horchata Coffee, and I think Alex got the frapp? I can’t remember:

And I also love getting these Japanese ice cream bars from our favorite Asian supermarket, Uwajimaya:

What I’m Reminiscing About:

Fun times with my cousin. Hung out with her family a lot this month, couldn’t get photos, sorry. But we gathered several times and each time was amazing. I just love their company so much and I got to catch up with my other cousin and he also said he would teach me to shoot a gun, so yay. Hopefully this year LOL.

Anyway, we’re probably meeting up with them today at the park, so that should be fun! 🙂 I’ll try to make more photos of that 🙂

What I’m Loving:

Again, spending with my family.

What We’ve Been Up To:

It was the last month of school, and Ciel’s class had loads of field trips, so we went to so many places. This month was all for my little one, I hardly got to take any photos of anything else lol.

And just last week I went downtown with Ciel and he had a little bit of fun. 🙂 We rode the bus and MAX there because he loves trains, and we stopped by Einstein Bros Bagels and he ate the entire bagel by himself. These bagels are the tastiest!

After that we walked through Pioneer Square and headed towards Director Park for the little splash they have. I went prepared so I allowed him to get wet for a solid 30 mins but he kept running away when it was time to go and so… It got me mad, but we turned it around when we went back home. He was all cuddles on the MAX! ❤

And as a bonus, I also got to look after my neighbors dogs, while they were gone for a week long vacation. They’re sweethearts! ❤

What I’m Dreading:

What I’m Working On:

Nothing.. Except reading I guess. Does that count?

What I’m Excited About:

Well I’m sure you know because I keep talking about it, but my mom and sis are here! So that’s exciting! And today is also 4th of July so who knows what we might do today.

My dad’s birthday is also at the end of the month so I gotta plan for that.

What I’m Watching/Reading:

The Office, of course. And Parks & Rec, finally.

And we also watched Arrested Development. I cannot even begin to tell you how long we have been WAITING for the new season.. YEARS!! LOL.

I read Turtles All The Way Down and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, and The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton.

I got a new book last Friday and I’m getting two other ones from the library this week. So my goal is to read all three of them before the end of the month 🙂

What I’m Listening To:

Still listening to Jamie xx, especially “Loud Places” but recently “Sleep Sound” too. The video is beautiful.

What I’m Wearing:

So again, this month there weren’t many opportunities for me to take photos except of my son, so I hardly have any ootds this month..

What I’m Doing This Weekend:

I don’t know yet.. Maybe I’ll keep it as a surprise? LOL

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month:

Hopefully more sun lol.. But nothing is happening next month, that I know of.

What Else Is New:

Oh nothing.. I applied for a job as a Behavioral Technician for an Autism Center, because I felt like it would fit my schedule, and I would love nothing more than to help people and it’s the closest thing to “psychology” that I could find without needing any experience.. They never called me back, so that’s a bummer..

That’s it for me, what have you guys been up to?!
And what will you be doing today?

I think there’s a Zero Degrees or two here in Vegas, too! That horchata coffee sounds & looks yummy! So do those Japanese ice cream bars. Mmm!

Ciel looks like he’s having so much fun in all of the photos & those dogs are adorable! I bet it was a blast taking care of ’em for a short while.

I haven’t read A Fault In Our Stars but, oh man, Turtles All The Way Down was not my cup of tea. Looking For Alaska by John Green is the only book of his that I’ve read & truly enjoyed. Cannot wait to hear your thoughts on both of his novels you read!

That blouse you’re wearing in the first OOTD photo is gorgeous!

Maybe the job will call you back soon! Best of luck, babe! ♡♡♡

I have only tried those drinks and some peach tea a while back but I would love to try a mangonada, 😁
Yeah ciel had a lot of fun and still is with grandma and auntie in town lol.
I thought A Fault in Our Stars was good just not the ending. And yeah, I agree. Turtles All the Way Down could have had a bit more depth.
Oh really? I’ll have to read that one too then I’ll be sure to add it to my list.
And thank you!! 😊 my dad’s wife gifted me that blouse lol.
And they still haven’t called back or emailed me so I don’t think it’s gonna happen. Oh well. Wasn’t meant to be, I’m sure I’ll find something better.

I think I have tried a Mangonada or two before but not from Zero Degrees! I love those little candy tamarind sticks they put in them. ❤

I think A Fault in Our Stars was turned into a film, right? Idk I have heard mixed reviews about it and I just hated Turtles All The Way Down & An Abundance of Katherines. Whew, they were bad. lol. So I am just done with John Green altogether. You should also check out the author Matthew Quick. 🙂 I hope you enjoy Looking For Alaska if you read it!! ❤

I heard sometimes you have to call the job & see where your application is!! But, I'm not a pro at getting a job outside of the strip club so don't listen to me LOL.

oh gosh yes, those candies are the best 😀
Yes, it’s a film which I plan on watching as well 🙂 My sister watched it and she read the book while I still had it and she liked it LOL
I’ll be sure to put Matthew Quick on my list to read.
I might have needed to do that, but I don’t remember seeing a number to call on the job post. It did have a link to apply and I’m thinking it was maybe through an agency. So who knows.. I will figure out a job for me eventually, one that I know I will like.

😀 😀 OH! I’m so happy you like them, too. My boyfriend & sister both hate those candies.
I do wanna see the film of Fault in Our Stars but I don’t think I’d read the book.
You’re right! You will find a job that’s perfect for you. ❤

Are you kidding?! If I could buy them all the time I totally would lol.
I’m gonna try to read all of these books first and then watch the movies like what I did with the notebook because the books came first and I wanna see it originally rather than an interpretation of it. Does that make sense?

HEY GIRL!!! Finally we are back from OH and one of the first things I wanted to do was read what you are up to!

Yummy- is that a chicken Caesar salad? That parmesan cheese looks so yummy.

CIEL!!! Melting my heart per usual.

Ok, now I’m craving an Einstein Bros Bagel!

Love your outfits- so perfect for summer. Maybe the Autism center will still give a call? You would be so great for that job- you have such a tender heart.

Awh thanks 😀 I haven’t been up to much LOL
And kind of? We tried making it here at home because Alex found a recipe for the caesar dressing and it was really good 🙂
Ciel’s a cutie but this week he’s been kind of a terror LMAO
Einstein’s bagels are soo good!! Alex and I would go there almost every time we were downtown as a snack 🙂
The weather is FINALLY warming up but who knows how long it’ll last, we have been getting lots of cloudy days. Even 4th of July was cloudy and slightly rainy lol.
And no, they didn’t call me back unfortunately, so I guess they’re passing on me. I’ll find something better later though.
