Lavender DAZE Festival in Hood River, OR

Remember when I mentioned that I wanted to go to a lavender farm in my Summer Bucket List?? Well, I made it happen!! And even better that my mom and sis were here for it!

It was an hour and a half away from the city but SO WORTH IT! We drove through I-84 alongside the Colombia River Gorge and briefly saw Crown Point and Multnomah Falls in passing (lot was full so we had to skip it).

As we got off the freeway and made our way through the smaller back roads, we got an amazing sight of Mt. Hood! So beautiful even in the height of summer!

This place is called Hood River Lavender Farm. The Lavender DAZE Festival is an annual two-day event (this year was the 14th annual) and it is held at the peak of lavender season. They have gorgeous mountain views, U-Pick lavender, wine, food and art vendors, music and more!

I thought the farm and the event would be bigger since it’s called a FESTIVAL, but I decided to make the best of it and I couldn’t wait to walk through those lavender bushes to take in the scent! We were also blessed with amazing weather!

I didn’t get any photos of myself because I was too busy taking photos of the field, photos of my mom, sister and Ciel. Then I spent the rest of my time picking my own lavender which was so much fun and very therapeutic. There were so many bees and they were unfazed by human presence. I did my best to take some photos of them as well and this was the best photo:

We also got to try lavender lemonade and it was the most delicious, refreshing, thirst-quenching drink! I highly recommend you try it if you ever get the chance:

Some of you might remember I introduced you guys to my mom and sis in Meet My Family. I just love them so much and they looked great! I don’t even remember what I wore..

And cannot forget the lovely photos of my monster munchkin and Alex:

Here are more photos I captured at the lavender field:

And lastly, on our way back home, we got to see Mt. Adams which is on the other side of the Gorge (Washington) and got a nice scenic view:

Thanks so much to all of you for reading and for being patient with me as I ease back into blogging. I hope you guys enjoyed this post because there’s so much more I want to show you! πŸ™‚Β  Also, if you’re ever here during the summer, I highly recommend going to a lavender farm, there’s so many around here. πŸ™‚

Have you guys ever been to a Lavender Farm?

When I go to festivals… man, even if I’m full I can’t help buying all that deep-fried crap! It makes my mouth water & I have no self-control LOL. I have tried Rose flavored milk tea before & I really loved it! I think I’ve seen lavender flavor on the menu, too but not for lemonade ever. πŸ˜› I’d love to try!!
