Heyy dolls!
We’re getting the first chilly days of the cold season and summer isn’t over yet! It was a cruel reminder of how cold it’s going to be 😦
Anyway, before I start I did want to mention that I might re-work my blog schedule. CL will be going back to school on the 17th (two days a week) and I’m not sure I can commit to a M-F schedule, which is why I’ve been posting a little less as a test lol. I still have to figure out a few things but I think that I may end up posting two to three times a week.
But let’s get started! Let’s unbox my August 2018 Play! box.
Theme: Beauty Schooled
Love the colors used in this month’s bag, the graphics are always a little cheesy but whatever. I had a feeling the theme would be something related to school since some people have already started going back to school.
Contents:
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel in Clear
- Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer
- Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick in C211
- Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay
- Living Proof T. B. D. Multi-Tasking Styler
- Ouai Volume Shampoo & Conditioner
First Impressions:
So I’m not as excited about the makeup I received. I think the ABH brow gel would come in handy, and I’m glad to be trying it. However I usually don’t have good luck with bronzers I receive, so I don’t have much hope for it even though people love it. I do like the MUFE lipstick line, they’re so creamy, I might have this shade but I’ll try it anyway.
I am really excited about the skincare and haircare for some reason, maybe because I’ve ran out of shampoo LMAO. I do remember the OUAI Wave Spray had a strong scent, so we’ll see about it. But the mask with rose clay sounds so luxurious and I’m pretty sure I’ve read reviews of people really loving it.
What did you guys get in your box?
And what do you think of the Play! Luxe and the Play! Smarts?! I only just found out that Boxycharm and Ipsy will have upgrades to their subs too but I didn’t know Sephora was in on it too! LOL. Let me know your thoughts and if you will be trying any of them!

The color of the bag is so cute! Last night I was surprise to feel a cool breeze in Florida! I have never felt a chilly breeze in August it made me think this might be an actual cold winter for us. 😱😳

Good to know. Quia is a great hair product. I unsubscribed from Ipsy as the products were not as I expected. xx

Yeah, I feel like Ipsy is very hit or miss with most people. That’s usually the reason people unsubscribe so I don’t blame you.

I feel like I see the same items in every play unboxing. I just feel like I would never use any of the stuff they send.

I’m getting great use of the skincare and haircare that they send me. And I’m of course keeping all the mascaras I’ve been sent, I’m set for an entire year or more if I go through them one by one lol.

Yeah that’s just not my thing. I don’t like samples they clutter my area and I never go through them. I had Birchbox and hated it.

That I agree with. I might end up unsibscribing in the next month or two. I want to get the Boxy Luxe and see if it’s truly worth the $50 lmao
