Quick question before I begin this post: did anyone see yesterday’s post on your feed? It was an eyeshadow palette review and for some reason it didn’t get ANY views or likes, which led me to believe that maybe it didn’t appear on your reader? I don’t know.. I’m just trying to figure it out.. Hopefully WP isn’t glitching again since I know a lot of you have problems with comments going to the spam folder… Anyway, just curious, let me know if you saw it or not, so I can look into it if I need to. 🙂 TIA!
Ok, back to today’s post!
I’m so happy to finally be sharing these photos with you! This was indeed the field of dreams because I haven’t stopped obsessing over sunflowers since I went to the farm. I had such a great time and I want to show you all just how beautiful it was to see so many sunflowers in one place.
I went to the sunflower farm the day before we went to Seattle for the day, and I was planning on going by myself because it seemed like no one wanted to go, but in the end, my dad’s wife accompanied me and we met up with my sister in law, her two kids, and one of Alex’s cousin.
On the way there, I had car troubles (radiator blew) and ended up turning around less than a mile out to drop my car off at my dad’s apartments and taking their car instead. Phew! So glad I was near the house and not already on the freeway. That would have been a DISASTER!
If you guys remember when I went to the Lavender DAZE Festival over the summer, the sunflower farm is basically way out there in the same area, an hour and a half out of Portland. When we got there it was pretty much empty. We went the day before their Sunflower Festival, and I’m glad we chose to go that day because we basically got the entire place to OURSELVES!
They have an indoor place with ice cream, fresh lemonade, cookies and marmalades of all kinds! So thankful that they set up shop at our farmer’s market because I can get their stuff whenever I want. Outside they have a kids play area, and a corn pit that the kids absolutely enjoyed!
I’ll shut up and let you take in all these photos (with occasional comments of course, lol):
It was so nice to walk in between them, they exude beauty!
This was the biggest sunflower in the entire farm, so majestic! ❤
It was literally as big as my head!! 😀
These close-ups are EVERYTHING!
I was literally so happy just being here! It was really hard for me to leave out a bunch of other photos but these were the best ones that I took.
This was a dream come true! ❤
