Hello!!
I’m so excited to share this post with you. The only reason I know about this place was because I found a brochure at a hotel when I was helping my dads wife look for a job. So glad I found it!!
Since everyone was at work, except for my neighbor, I practically dragged him along with me. Also shout-out to him for taking some photos of me 🙂
I’ll be quick with my words and try to fill this post with as many photos as I can. And I’m sorry in advance, in order for me to preserve some precious space I will be doing a few collages so I can fit as much as I can. Sorry, sorry, sorry! But you’ll thank me for showing you lots of pretty flowers! 🙂
* * *
As you drive through the non-paved street, you will see a huge field of dahlias. It’s so colorful as you drive there and there is plenty of parking in the farm. I ended up parking near some flowers:
Look at how beautiful it looks!!
The photos don’t do the fields any justice, but it’s very hard to get good panoramic photos with my camera and some flowers aren’t as big or as bright, so it looks like empty patches.
They do have two corridors for you to walk through and see every variety they have. Each variety has a name for anyone who would like to purchase some. They will go and cut them fresh for you which is super awesome.
The following dahlias are some of my favorite varieties, not only because of their names but because they’re super beautiful. I’m almost sorry I didn’t get the chance to take any home. Maybe next year..
Top to bottom: Koko Puff, Flamethrower, Checkers, and Black Satin
More favorites:
Top to bottom: Wannabee, Midnight Dancer, Purplicious, and Lights Out
And my number one favorite variety is called Hulin’s Carnival. I liked that every single flower looked so different from the others, they were all very unique! They almost look like blood stained flowers and it reminded of the flowers from Tokyo Ghoul but no, they’re not the same type of flower.. The ones in TG are red spider lilies.. Still very pretty!
More Varieties:
Top to bottom: Fuzzy Wuzzy, Dare Devil, Neon Splendor, and Spartacus
* * *
Top to bottom: Einstein, Ivanetti, Innocence, Vassio Meggos
* * *
Top to bottom: Thomas Edison, Who me?, Flamingo, and Half Pint
* * *
Top to bottom: Dark Magic, Mango Madness, Sellwood Glory, and Allen’s Ladies Choice
* * *
Top to bottom: Pineapple Express, L’ancresse, OMG, and Cherry Drop
* * *
And a few more varieties whose name I forgot to take note of:
You could either chose to walk through the fields or go to the section where they have all the varieties together. This section looks pretty cool too with so much color in a small area!
On the way out by a little gift shop(?) we noticed their small koi pond. It had the biggest koi fish I had ever seen! So beautiful!
Of course I can’t forget some photos of us. CL was being his cute self while also giving me a hard time every once in a while but he enjoyed this little trip. Ugh he melts my heart! ❤
This was a really nice experience and you guys know I love the outdoors so it was nice to be in an open space surrounded by the prettiest flowers.
I understand now that flowers can bring us some happiness (thanks Ingrid for that fact!) so next time I go to a flower field or to the farmer’s market, I’ll be sure to pick some up! 🙂
Have you guys ever been to a flower field before?
If so, what type of flowers were they?

This field of flowers actually reminding me of the Wizard of Oz in a way haha. *sigh* So pretty! I think my favorite flower was that “Who me?” one. It looked so delicate and elegant. I know right?! I loved the sunflowers so much but I feel like this field was by far one of my favorites!
And thank you! I love taking photos of flowers and I seem to be getting better at using my camera and quickly changing the settings if I need to lol.
Oh haha the wizard of Oz yeah! Kind of huh?
Yes! Who Me? Was gorgeous, though those were the ones that were withering as well, but I love how it kind of is in full bloom but draped down. Delicate and elegant is a good way to describe those. 😁

It was almost like walking through a pastel watercolor painting or something, so dreamy! I think you did such a fantastic job with your photography, especially since I couldn’t even tell the Who Me flowers were withering! Haha yeah it just reminded me of that poppy field they cross lol.

Yeah he’s so silly! Those tend to be some of my favorite photos lol.
Oh there was a few others whose names were hilarious but I didn’t take a photo of every single one, that would have been too much lol
And yes I really do, I’m enjoying writing about what we’ve done because soon I won’t be able to 😭

Those photos are my favorites, too! 😀 I forgot to mention that I laughed about you dragging your neighbor to go with you & take photos!! He did really good!!
Thanks for sharing the ones you did share with us!! I have to admit some of them look kind of scary to me though lol.
I’m enjoying reading about what you’ve done! ❤ So sorry that the weather is shit in your beautiful state during the winter!!!

Oh hahaha Yeah I’ve taken him with me to several places because he was home and he never does anything. He’s the kind of person that will stay home if someone doesn’t invite him out lol.
Haha like which ones seemed scary?
