Happy Friday!!

I literally haven’t been able to contain my excitement for this post, so I’m glad that it’s time to post it! You all know how much I love doing collabs and Courtney asked if I wanted to do a Fall OOTD and I said YEAAAAAHHH!!!

If you’re not following Courtney, please do so! Oh, oh oh..and if you were following her before and you weren’t aware, she did make a new blog. She blogs about lifestyle and lately she’s been posting super yummy recipes! Also, she’s incredibly kind and so down-to-earth and very easy to talk to!

Fall is such a beautiful time of the year—leaves changing, the final sunny days, the cold setting in, and depending on where you live, rain or snow. Aside from that, I think Fall fashion is one of my favorites too because of the tones, the layers and cozy outfits.

At times I feel as though my style is boring, like there’s nothing interesting about my outfits. Unfortunately plaid doesn’t seem to suit me or flatter me which makes me kind of sad.. BUT I did want to step out of my comfort zone and mix my style with something trendy if you will? Of course the “trendy” piece is this gorgeous mustard crop sweater!

I chose to layer my outfit and since it was a nice, warm day, I didn’t feel like I needed my black faux leather jacket (so it’s not pictured). But I did try to layer everything else.

I am wearing a black cami with this mustard crop sweater on top, which by the way, is a NEW color for me. I didn’t think this color suited me until I tried this sweater on and loved it. I’m LIVING for it at the moment!

I feel like I did a bunch of layers from the waist down, but I was cozy in the evening so it was worth it. I’m wearing black tights, jean shorts, thigh-high socks and brown heeled booties. The thigh-high socks were *almost* hard to find but they’re a staple for Fall wardrobe in my opinion.

I love everything about this outfit and I actually have worn it twice already. The layers keep me warm and this crop sweater is making me fall in love with mustard tones, something I never thought I would wear.

I’m wearing my Autumn Foliage look on the eyes, in case you’re wondering.

  3. I absolutely ADORE your outfit Rossy!! It’s so, so, so trendy and creative! I never would have thought to layer shorts with tights, socks, and ankle booties, but I am LOVING it. Even though you said you felt like you were mostly layered from the waist down, I think it totally looks fantastic and it works since the mustard sweater is more bulky on top. Which, by the way, you are killing that mustard cropped sweater! It looks so good on you and I love that it’s cropped! I’ve seen those around lately and I think it’s such a great idea to keep them loose and flattering. Also, can I just say that Alex really did a good job taking photos?! I love the angles he got, especially the details shot of like your shoes & shorts. I didn’t even think about asking Joshua for something like that.
    Oh and thank you so much for those super kind words about me & my blog!! You’re the sweetest Rossy and I sure do appreciate. Your support is just the best! Specifically, thank you for also mentioning about my new blog. Any new traffic is obviously appreciated! ❤

      I feel like the mustard sweater is what made this outfit trendy? Lol. But yeah definitely, if I get cold I could wear a long sleeve underneath and the sweater still wouldn’t be too tight 🙂
      Thank you! He really did such a great job with photos this time. I think he’s getting better because I always complain that he just points and shoot and doesn’t check if the photos are clear or blurry lol. So many shots that have gone to waste in the past because they were blurry, lol.

      1. Haha yeah the mustard sweatshirt is trendy but also the shorts with tights and booties for sure. I feel like ankle booties and shorts are always trendy lol.
        I get that haha! Joshua would usually make sure photos aren’t blurry, but it was more of trying to get him to check for flattering angles and especially lighting. He’s doing so well though with taking into consideration my requests, and I totally don’t know much about photography so we are learning together haha. 😉 I’m glad that Alex really made sure to get great photos this time! That makes everything easier lol.

          1. I feel the same lol. And a lot of trends these days I just don’t understand why they are popular. Like I will see something and think it’s ugly and then it will be hugely popular and toted as “so cute” by all these fashionistas lol. I’m just a 90s girl at heart I guess lol.
            Oh my gosh yes!! It means so much to me haha.

    1. Thank you! Courtney’s outfit is super cozy!! And we’ve been getting lucky with super nice warm days but towards the evening it starts getting incredibly chilly and the mornings are cold and foggy too.

        1. OMG my house gets cold too, especially in the mornings but we’re trying to hold out on turning on the house heater because the electric bill goes through the roof!
          I need more cozy outfit ideas aside from leggings, but there’s nothing else that’s cozier than leggings LMAO

          1. We can relate! We hold off as long as we can but when the house drops below 60° it feels like I’m freezing! Our landlord told us they set the thermostat at 70 but I’m too cheap to spend the extra money. I usually leave it around 65…

Lol anytime I think about Canada and 60 degree weather I remember Robin from HIMYM when she says “lawn mowing weather!” 😂 honestly, 60 degrees isn’t that bad here but when it drops to 40 I am literally shaking inside my house. And we only have this tiny heater that is great for our bedroom but not so much for the living room which is a huge space 😢
            My neighbor has told us to leave it at around 70 as well but I’m literally so afraid of spending money too lol. Not just cause I’m cheap too but because it gets expensive and FAST!

            I’m always cold 😆 it’s been about 45-50 outside but 60 inside. I’m just not ready for it to be below zero C outside! Converting between the two gets confusing for me lol

            How cold does it actually get in the winter over there? The worst it has been here was like 20 degrees F? It was soooo bad!!!! I’m not really sure how much that’s in C lol

            Ummm the coldest we got last winter was around minus 30ish, but with the windchill it feels more like minus 40. In F that would be minus 20 according to google!

          7. Lots and lots of layers! It gradually gets cold so you can sort of adjust to it. It’s funny each Fall I feel like I’m freezing when it’s around 1 degree outside, and then going into spring that feels so warm to me after the winter!

          8. Omg I feel like I never get to used to our weather when it gets cold because it fluctuates so much. Like literally in ONE day. Yesterday it was sunny and nice and kind of warm and within an hour if got cloudy and fresh and then an hour later it dropped to like the lower 50s F and it rained so freaking hard I felt my feet and hands were freezing lol. But yeah, I feel the same way too when the seasons change. It might be because we’re expecting it to change? Lol

And I found this one at Burlington, if you live here in the states you might be able to find it there. But other stores also carry mustard and orange knit sweaters which are also super cute!.

    1. I’ve fallen in love with it so quickly! LOL. I need to buy more mustard sweaters or tops! It’s funny because I tried a mustard…..top? Last year I think? And I didn’t feel like it look good on me but this sweater changed my mind 😀

    1. Idk why it took me so long to fall in love with this color. I hope I’m able to get a few more fall colors, like olive tones and burgundy ones lol. I really should get a mustard knit sweater. It’d be super cute!!!
