Blogger Fitness Collab — October 2018: Update #4

Heyy dolls! Happy Monday!

I’m not going on break just yet, I needed this post to go up today and on Wednesday I have another post, and then I’m done for like a week, maybe two. Please don’t hate me lol.

Anyway, we’re onto our fourth update! It’s insane! I cannot believe this! The year is almost over too!! If you’re new here, this is a fitness collaboration with my girls Sarah from Vintage Tea Rose, Courtney from Courtney’s Corner, Natalie from Natalie’s Alchemy and Emily (friend of Courtney’s, no blog).

And let me start by saying that I absolutely sucked in October.. Well, not entirely, but by the second half of the month I stopped working out altogether *sigh* I WILL DO BETTER NEXT MONTH. I WILL BE BETTER.

October Goals

  • Sober October
  • At-home workout for 45 mins per day, minimum of 3 workouts a week
  • 84oz water intake everyday
  • Healthy dietcontinue to fast and make smoothies, fruits and/or veggies in at least 2 meals each day, little to no sugar and no junk food

Summary for October

Again, I sucked.. I started the month strong, I was working out exactly 3 times a week for pretty much 40 or so minutes. I stopped doing the app workouts and instead found comfort in doing yoga for 40 minutes straight or more if I felt really good.

I was also making my breakfast smoothies, and I’m still technically fasting for 12 to 14 hours which has been pretty great I think. I don’t feel like I’m eating as much as I used to so it’s definitely helped me control my portions, in a sense.

I feel like, towards the middle of the month was when I stopped working out almost completely. At the most I did like one workout for the entire week. Part of that was, and I’m not trying to make any excuses here, my Halloween series. It took me ALL month long to film and edit my videos and I even stayed up some nights to finish some of that stuff. So I think it definitely took a toll on me, I was exhausted! I’m still catching up on sleep!

And it’s no one’s fault but mine. I’m such a workaholic, that when I set my mind to do something, I just have to follow through LOL. I’m glad I did my Halloween series, even though I stopped working out. As I said, I WILL be better this month.

One goal I’m really proud of was completing Sober October! You guys have no idea how hard that was. I like to drink and no I don’t get drunk. I get drunk like once a year, and that’s usually around New Year’s lol. So I’m not an alcoholic but I did find myself drinking VERY often in September to the point that it was every couple of days, so I decided to do this for myself and for my health. I’m glad I completed it, it felt good and I feel like I didn’t COMPLETELY FAIL last month.

Also, I’m still technically eating fruits and veggies in at least 2 of my meals, so I’m good there but I’ve introduced sweets and junk food to my diet again 😦 it WILL be easier for me to let go of these things so I’m not completely worried.


Goals for November

Well… I guess I can keep the same goals, minus Sober October.

I really really want to get through another good month of working out. October’s Halloween series sort of got in the way, well I got in my own way of that, but I think that I can make it happen just in time for the holidays. And since I don’t really have any pressing matters to deal with this month or next, I SHOULD be able to accomplish my goals. If not, I will be severely disappointed with myself.


Please wish me luck! I know I have probably let my girls down with my on and off again routine, but I truly want to get better and really get into a routine. The one thing I love about this collab is that my girls have been doing really good and they have been so inspiring recently, they make me want to better myself!

I will do my best to not let you down! ❤

And girl, sometimes over things take priorty and your Halloween series was incredible 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Congratulations on completing sober october hun!! 👏🏼 That’s incredible, I’d love to do that next year because I definitely drank in October 😂 so well done lovely ❤️

      Awh thanks!! Lol but you’re right. At least it wasn’t a total fail lol. The entire month I mean I accomplished part of it haha. I’m so excited to get started on exercise again. Today is actually my first day back on, normally i wouldn’t start until Thursday but there’s no school today or the upcoming Monday so I think I’ll be able to workout everyday if I can force myself lol.

    Great job on doing a sober November! I think you still did well, I know you don’t want to make excuses, but I will – with all those makeup looks and you know, living a life too, I think you did good 😊

      Thank you! I actually haven’t had many drinks this month so far, except on the 1st when I celebrated the end of my Halloween series and the end of sober October lol. Oh I did drink over the weekend at a restaurant but that was because my dad took me out to dinner for my birthday lol.
      But thank you so much!! I’m hoping to do better this month.

    Considering how hard you worked on your Halloween looks, it is not surprising to me at all that you ran out of time and energy to workout!! Don’t be hard on yourself–you had a busy month and at least you didn’t lost motivation since you are determined to get back into it this month. 🙂 That sort of momentum is important! Also, GREAT job with Sober October. I can imagine how hard that would be after falling into the habit of enjoying a drink every few days. Well done, girl!! ❤ I can't believe next month is our last update. Is our collab going to be over?! This has felt more like a lifestyle change, not just an event lol.

      Still determined and thus far unsuccessful lmao but it’s been a busy week but I’ll definitely workout for the rest of the week.
      I’m actually quite happy because I haven’t really been craving a drink like I used to so yay lol.
      I’m definitely going to try to keep going I just probably won’t post about it unless I deem it important haha but yeah I definitely feel so much better and a bit more confident about myself and my eating habits

        Aw well you got this girl! I know it’s also hard going into the holiday season because it gets sooo busy! Don’t be too hard on yourself. Just do what you can, when you can. 🙂
        That’s fantastic! Cravings are like 95% of the problem I think hahaha, or at least for me. 😉
        Yeah I like that idea. I want to keep doing updates too, but maybe not so often. This collab has TOTALLY helped make eating habits & fitness something that I’m conscious about and motivated about 100% of the time now, so I’d say it was a super success. ❤ I will definitely be talking all about that in my post next month. 😉
