Hello beautiful people!
I’m coming at you with another collab with my gorgeous friend Courtney!
I approached her this time with this idea and since we both had a lot of fun putting outfits together in October, I thought we could both step outside of our comfort zone together once again to do another fashion related post 🙂
This time we’re trying the 10×10 outfit challenge as seen on Pinterest.
10 Pieces. 10 Outfits. 10 Days.
I know a few bloggers here on WP have tried it but I feel like I haven’t seen it enough. Maybe I’m not following the right bloggers, I don’t know. But anyway, we attempted this for fall season in hopes it would go well.
10×10 Outfit Challenge
What took the longest for me was choosing what clothes I wanted. Because remember, whatever you chose is what you’ll be wearing for 10 days. I also found it difficult to balance out the pieces as there are other 10×10 capsules on Pinterest which include shoes and accessories but that was too hardcore for me so I kept it simple.
I chose to have 3 tops, 3 bottoms, 2 sweaters, 1 cardigan, and a pair of thigh-high socks.
Here’s a breakdown:
- Olive top
- Leopard print top
- Butterfly sleeve top
- 1 pair of jeans
- 1 pair of black leggings
- 1 black skirt
- 1 beige cardigan
- 1 pair thigh-high socks
Once I had decided on the clothes themselves, it was easy to put outfits together in advance. With three bottoms, I could alternate them over the span of three days, which means I would wear them all at least three times each. With tops and sweaters I could wear them two times each over the span of 10 days.
So let me show you the outfits I have put together with this capsule:
Day 1
Items chosen: Skirt | Olive Top | Thigh-High Socks | Beige Cardigan
Possibly one of my favorite outfits is pairing a skirt with thigh-high socks with a cardigan. It’s comfy, keeps me warm and feminine. Luckily, we had good weather so it was a good outfit to start the challenge with.
Day 2
Items chosen: Leggings | Butterfly Sleeve Top | Beige Cardigan
A simple outfit I wore to school with Ciel. I walk and move around a lot so leggings for a school day were a must. The cardigan surprisingly kept me warm. I love that the butterfly sleeve top has tree branches with fall colors, which is why I picked it for this challenge.
Day 3
Items chosen: Jeans | Leopard Print Top | Beige Cardigan
Yes, I did use my cardigan a lot throughout this challenge. This is one of my go-to outfits for running errands. This was also the day I realized my jeans are a bit big on me so I’m patiently waiting for the day I can go buy a few new jeans…
Day 4
Items chosen: Skirt | Olive Sweater | Thigh-High Socks
I almost forgot to take photos of this outfit so it’s a bit darker than the rest of the photos.. This outfit is simple, nothing special. Also, don’t mind the shoes, tried to switch it up a bit LMAO.
Day 5
Items chosen: Skirt | Burgundy Sweater | Thigh-High Socks
It had started getting colder so I decided to knock out the skirt by wearing it twice in a row so I didn’t have to wear it anymore. This time paired with the burgundy sweater and I must say, I really liked this combo, including my choice in shoes lol. Also, cheating a bit, I added some tights underneath because it was THAT cold.
Day 6
Items chosen: Leggings | Olive Sweater
Simple outfit again. Leggings and hoodie/sweater. Another cheat day, I wore my pleather jacket because we were going to be outside and it was raining and very* cold. Another one of my go-to outfits when I need extra warmth.
Day 7
Items chosen: Jeans | Burgundy Sweater
Simple outfit, weather outside was terrible so we took photos inside.
Day 8
Items chosen: Jeans | Butterfly Sleeve Top | Beige Cardigan
Tired of the jeans, I decided to wear them back-to-back. You can kind of see how they sag on me, which is a shame. I went with the butterfly sleeve top/cardigan combo for warmth, I don’t remember leaving my house that day lol.
Day 9
Items chosen: Leggings |Leopard Print Top | Beige Cardigan
This was for another school day, and also a day to be running errands so I was going to be in and out of the house. Super comfy, and I thought the top and the cardigan went well together despite being in the same color family.
Day 10
Items chosen: Leggings | Olive Top | Beige Cardigan
Last outfit! I made it!
This is another one of my favorite outfits from this challenge. I feel like this outfit specifically made me step out of my comfort zone even more by forcing me to use different colors together. I was pleased with this outfit that day. Olive became a favorite color of mine this season and I love the bright white Adidas shoes.
I would have liked to have some kind of color palette but I don’t have enough of the basics to do that. Even so, I liked that most of the clothes were fall colors and/or clothes one would probably wear during the season.
It was a bit boring wearing the same clothes for 10 days, and I know Courtney felt the same way. However, it was nice to have my outfits already prepared, so I didn’t have to think hard about what to wear. I was out the door very quickly on days when I was running late, so this challenge came in handy in that aspect.
Overall, I think I would try this challenge again in warmer weather because I realized some days I wasn’t able to layer certain clothes together. With winter practically here it has gotten very cold, and some days I craved more layers, lol. Luckily I was at home for most of those 10 days, so it wasn’t a big deal, but something to think about if I do it again.
Please don’t forget to check out Courtney’s post too!!

What did you guys think of this challenge?
Would you guys attempt it?
Which is your favorite outfit?
Find me on social media:
Great job Rossy!! I feel like your clothes have so much more variety than mine! I realized we both wore our tops twice but it felt like I wore them so much more than that lol. I think my favorite outfit of yours is Day 2, though I also love Day 10!
I don’t think it was cheating to throw in a jacket or tights here and there…I tossed some extras in mine too to mix it up a little or add warmth. There’s only so much you can do with 10 pieces haha.
I also used my leather jacket in a couple of days. I think it’s actually pleather since I doubt I’d ever afford real leather, but I didn’t think to specify that on my blog lol.
Anyway I also like that your pictures were outdoors. That’s always preferred but I wasn’t brave enough to pose out in the cold haha. Props to you for sure girl!
Thanks for asking me to participate, I definitely had fun!!
If you liked having the outfits prepared, something I like doing is to choose my outfit the night before and set it out so I don’t have to think about it in the morning.
Oh and I feel like a warmer weather challenge might be harder because you don’t have as many layers to work with?
Thanks again Rossy!! It was so much fun to do together. 🙂

You think so? I kinda thought the same for yours, you have more color in yours than I do lol.
True that, it was kind of hard to stay within the realms of only 10 pieces.
It was surprisingly warm for this time of year, but as it got closer to the end, it began to get very cold too.
I used to prepare my clothes the night before when I would go to school but I also remember not being happy with many outfits and going back into the closet to pick out something better hahaha. It worked well for a time and then it didn’t, the reason it was easy was because I had planned the outfits before I started the challenge, so it was just a matter of picking the right outfit for whatever the day was going to be like. I also think I stuck with it more because I was forced to wear these clothes for ten days.
Interesting, I was thinking the opposite. That it would be easier because I wouldn’t have to worry about layers haha. Hmmm…I’m going to think about it and see if I can make something work for warmer weather, and if so, I will attempt it next summer lol.
And no problem thanks for joining me! ❤️😘

I guess I did have a few colors! I think yours seemed more varied to me though since your styles were different or something lol.
Ohhh yes I could see that happening with setting your clothes out the night before! I’ve had that happen too. It’s funny how something seems fine the night before and then the next day I’m not feeling it at all. XD
Oh see I hadn’t thought about it that way! Maybe it would be easier without the layers… I know I struggle with summer fashion as it is though so I bet it would be harder for me. I need to find my summer “style” lol. But you love summer, so I bet you’d be able to do really well at it!

My style is all mixed and matched, partially girly and feminine, with some tomboy essence LMAO
I don’t have a summer style either, I live in dresses and shorts LOL. I may give it a shot! Just need to look through my wardrobe! 🙂

I love your style because it always seems like something new, fresh, and creative! I like how you have so many different styles because it keeps your wardrobe varied. 😉
