Project Pan — Progress & Empties [Update #1]

Hello my dolls!

I’ve gone AWOL again, I know. Sorry. I’ll explain later in a different post. I miss blogging so much but mom life is number one as you all know.

This post was supposed to go up yesterday to keep up with the same schedule I had last year for my project pan, but because I haven’t had much of a chance to do anything, I decided to push it out for today.

Even though it’s been less than 3 months, I thought it would be a good idea to update you on how I’ve been doing on my project pan this year. If you ask me, it’s going well. I’m using a lot of the products I have on the list, but it’s only the beginning of the year so I don’t expect to have many empties.

Let’s see how I’ve been doing and you can judge for yourself.

For the full list of products in this year’s project pan, feel free to check out my Project Pan 2019 Intro & Products post.

Have I Hit Pan?

OH YES I HAVE!

I hit pan on a second shade (Breathless; third on bottom row) in my Ulta Rose Gold palette in the middle of February. I’ve definitely put this palette to good use and it tends to be my go-to during the winter. Coincidentally, I also hit pan on the Elizabeth Mott POP! Goes the Shadow (Toasted) on the same day I hit pan on my Rose Gold palette. Felt amaaaazinggg!

I hit pan on the highlighting shade of my WnW Contour Palette beginning of February. I use that shade a lot to bake, set and cut my contour when I want a more defined look. Felt so good to hit pan on this one! Made me realize that there’s actually not much product in the pan.

The only skincare product I hit pan on was my Burt’s Bees Cuticle Cream. I use it almost religiously every night. My nails have been very bad lately and dry so this has helped a bit. I had been feeling the bottom of this pot for a whole week and when I actually saw the bottom I was floored!

Products I’ve Been Using A Lot

Hair Care & Body:

There are two products from this category that I use very little, but only because I’m trying to finish the other ones first; that would be the B&BW Stress Relief Body Cream and the Paris Hilton Perfume. Those are only used on special occasions while the rest may be used daily or several times a week.

The Paris Hilton Body Glistening Lotion has shimmer and I’ve been using it to moisturize my skin when I get out of the shower, all winter long. It hydrates my skin fairly well and I’m almost done with it too. Same with the Living Proof T.B.D. Multi-tasking Styler, I use it to style my hair when I don’t have time to do my hair.

The products I use often and can see through their packaging I’ve photographed below so you can see how much I’ve used.

  • The L’Oreal hair oil started at the top of the letters [L’Oreal], so I’ve actually used quite a bit. It’s hard to use up hair oils because you don’t need much of it.

  • Again, the PH Perfume is for special occasions (date nights and such) because I love it so much and don’t know where to find it. I might actually have a full size, I don’t remember. Anyway, this one was about halfway.
  • The Indigo Wild Roll-On Perfume I use almost daily and I believe this one was up to the top black line of the label. Super happy to have been using this one up and actually seeing the progress.

Skincare:

As most of you all know, I did use the Peter Thomas Roth masks all month in February as some kind of challenge. I used each one for four times so that wasn’t enough to empty them completely. I’m still using some two to three times a week.

The Freeman Banana Oat mask I started using this month. I usually use it in the morning when I know I’m going to wear makeup (once or twice a week). I’m trying to use the Simple SPF Moisturizer daily, but sometimes I forget. I don’t know how full it was but as of now, the product is at the top of the orange line on the label.

The Physician’s Formula Oil Elixir was pretty much full when I started. It’s very hard to see how much product is left so I kind of have to hold it up to the light. Right now I’m right below the word ‘booster’ so almost halfway.

For the Essence Prettifying Lip Oil it started right above the word ‘essence’. I use it maybe once or twice a week, but I don’t need much product. The Simple Cleansing Oil I’ve been using less than once every two weeks, but that’s only because I haven’t worn makeup in a while. When I introduced the project pan and products in January, it was right above the word ‘NO’, so it hasn’t been much.

One product that I have been using a lot as well, not pictured because I forgot and because it didn’t photograph well, was the Derma-e Microdermabrasion. I’m halfway through the sample pot and hopefully I can finish it by next update in June.

Makeup:

So this is a lot of products, and I will not be going through all of them. I’ve used the Too Faced Replenishing Face Primer and the Pacifica lippie like three times each since I started it. I’ve just been using others in their place.

I think I’m quite close to finishing the BareMinerals foundation and the WnW Photofocus Primer. I can just feel it. I also think I’m about to hit pan on the Trifle Cosmetics Blush palette, it’s so tiny but it’s been so hard to finish!

I’m hoping I can get somewhere with makeup products next update.

Project Pan Empties

Finally, the products I’ve used up since I introduced my project pan towards the end of January… Before I start with this, I want to point out that the Laura Mercier eye color/crayons are throw-aways. At first I was using them and then I realized how much I dislike them now. I really tried to use them but I couldn’t find a way to make them work for me as everyday products. They were really hard to blend and without primer they would crease..

EMPTIES:

  • HASK Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner (emptied end of February).
  • Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm (emptied beginning of March).
  • Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre (emptied mid-February).
  • Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9 (emptied end of February).
  • My BURBERRY Perfume (emptied beginning of February).
  • Atelier Cologne Perfume (emptied mid-February).
  • Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly (emptied beginning of March).

Anyway, it’s not many empties. Some took longer to finish, like the HASK deep conditioner and the MUFE lipstick, which is actually my first ever lipstick emptied!

So that’s it you guys! All the products I’ve been using plus the few I have emptied since I started this project pan. It’s only the beginning of the year so I’m very excited to get through my stash and hopefully empty many more by my next update!

How many of you have project pans? How are you doing so far?

Have an amazing weekend dolls! I’ll do my best to start posting again next week. 🙂

    1. Thanks Court! ❤ I like the progress I've been making and can only hope to empty many more in the next three months 🙂
That mask is actually one of my faves and it's so gentle on the skin. I found it at Ulta 🙂 and yes it smells of banana, though I'd say it's more the artificial scent than the real thing 😉 LOL
and thank you! all is well on my end, hope you guys are doing well too! i've been gone for a minute but trying to catch up 🙂

    1. Thanks! I’m trying so hard haha.
I agree, I have a lot of makeup that I have yet to go through and I always find myself struggling to try those new ones as opposed to going back to the products i need to use up. At times I tell myself I cant use or buy the new ones until I’ve use some of the older stuff or hit pan lol.
I hope you do make some progress soon too good luck!

  2. I need cuticle cream sooo badly… my nails are in bad shape coming out of winter! So good to know the Burt’s Bees product works so well. I’ll definitely need to invest! Thanks for sharing such a great product review, Rossy 🙂 Have a great week!

  3. You are doing so great with this project, Rossy. I’ve been thinking of doing my first “empties” post soon. 😛

A lot of Paris Hilton’s stuff is at Ross! What’s the perfume called? I’m gonna try to find it next time so I can sniff it, hehe.

Can’t wait to see your next update!!
