February 2019 Boxycharm Review

Hello you guys!!

Even though I’ve been gone, I’ve been working on a lot of content that I’m excited to put out. It will take some time to post it all, because I’m going for quality instead of quantity. But anyway.. I thought I could review my February Boxycharm before my BoxyLuxe comes in.. Yes.. It still hasn’t arrived.. I’m not happy it has taken this long but whatever I guess.. Let’s move on!

NOTE: I will not be reviewing the Nudestix eye color, they’re just not my kind of thing, and I won’t be reviewing the TF Mascara yet because I need to have a chance to try it fully.

Sol de Jainero
Coco Cabana Cream

Quick Description & Claims:

Mini Product Review:

Let’s start with a product that I was NOT a fan of. Firstly, the scent. Holy shit that was a STRONG scent! It literally was so much that it gave me a headache! I tried to use it to see if it was as good of a cream as people claim it is, but I didn’t notice much of a difference from my other moisturizers/lotions.

Anyway, the smell was a HUGE deal-breaker for me, their Bum Bum Cream was FAR more tolerable than this one. I didn’t want to keep sniffing it to find out which ingredient specifically triggered the headache. I mean.. who even approved of this product?? They really thought that scent was nice??

Touch in Sol
No Poreblem Primer

Quick Description & Claims:

Mini Product Review:

I know some people said it had a strong scent, but honestly, I didn’t really notice it much. Unless you put your hands up to your nose, you will* smell it, but again, to me it was very faint. I did not smell it after applying it either. Just be cautious with it if you have a sensitive nose or skin.

It did blur my pores just a bit*. It wasn’t a dramatic blur, which I don’t mind, but it was enough to see a slight change. My makeup went on so well. The primer feels smooth and silky. I didn’t get any breakouts from it either, which was a huge plus.

The only thing that concerns me is whether this product will hold up during warmer weather. Granted my skin is a bit dryer during the winter but I worry that I will be an oily mess if I use this when it’s warmer out. Won’t know for sure until I try.

Pretty Vulgar

Quick Description & Claims:

This vegan, matte bronzing powder gives you skin a natural, radiant looking finish. Enriched with ultra-smooth, oil-free, lightweight pigments, this bronzer allows for easy blending and perfect coverage.

Mini Product Review:

I was very surprised that this bronzer looked good against my skin tone because I could have sworn that when I swatched it the first time, it looked as if it had an orange tone to it. Luckily, it didn’t. It looks natural on me but I do have to be very careful with it because this one is insanely pigmented! A little goes a long way!

The formula is so buttery smooth and so easy to blend. It’s something I’ve come to expect from this brand after trying one of their blushes and one of their palettes. I definitely recommend trying their products!

I’m so sorry that I’m only reviewing 3 out of 5 products. I know some people want me to review the TF mascara, and you guys really want to know my thoughts on it because there are so many mixed reviews. I will do my best to test it out as soon as I can.
