June 2019 Favorites

Heyy dolls and happy Friday!!

This post got so delayed because of the festivities yesterday and then this morning I had to take Alex to see his primary care physician because his throat was hurting so much all week. I swear if I don’t make a call on his behalf, he just won’t go! LOL.

Anyway, I’ve been working on this post and video since I got back and I am about to go and get ready to leave. We may eat ramen or pho, we will see. But today I am showing you my June favorites, I haven’t done a favorite post since April and I’m so stoked that this time it landed on a Friday because of Friday Favorites so yay!

But I digress, let’s get started. Some of these products are honorable mentions because I’ve mentioned them before.

Miscellaneous Favorites

Let’s start with miscellaneous because I feel like people don’t care much about that but I want to mention it anyway.

Firstly, some music, I’ve mentioned before that I can’t stop listening to Passion Pit and Wallows, they’re both such amazing indie bands, and if you’re into indie music, I highly recommend you guys look into them, and if you don’t know what songs to look for first, I can give you some suggestions πŸ˜‰

I also did a deep-dive on NoRome who is currently touring with The 1975 and his older music is just as amazing as his new album. I love it. I highly recommend “Pink” (newer song) and “I’m Here” (older song).

In terms of entertainment, I have been binged watching Jenna Marbles and her boyfriend Julien Solomita, as well as their JennaJulien Podcast. They’re both amazing human beings, so down-to-earth, so real, and they remind me a lot of Alex and I and how we get along. They’re just such great people and they’re super funny.

Now onto actual stuff I can show you:

Japan Crate from FYE

FYEJapanCrate

I was so stoked when we got this box full of snacks, candy, a beverage FROM JAPAN! You guys know I love Japan in general so to try something like this was super cool. I will have a post on the full box this month or next. I think my next box will be the ramen one!

favorites_june2019_backpack

This is my favorite bag/mini backpack that I found at Ross. I have been wanting one of these mini bags for a long time and I have also always wanted something from Betsey Johnson so when I found this I had to grab it right away! It’s such a cute theme, cat-unicorn and it fits all of my stuff.

favorites_june2019_reading

I have been reading this book too, Astrophysics For People In A Hurry by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and this is basically a recap for me because I took physics in college. The class was fun for me and I enjoyed learning everything about space, and this book is so well-written and easy to digest so if you’re remotely interested in the universe, I highly recommend this book.

Lastly, no surprise here, my June Bullet Journal.

bujo_june2019_1coverpage

The lavender theme was super gorgeous and I loved sketching it and inking it and adding some color. I loved that it was all monochromatic.

Beauty Favorites

Now beauty stuff.. First up are these palettes, the Violet Voss HG PRO Eyeshadow palette and the ColourPop Sweet Talk palette. The VV palette appeared in my April Favorites, and I should have a lookbook and a palette review coming your way next week.

The CP palette I’ve already done a video for (a GRWM & Tutorial), and I also have a post for it. I will be playing with this palette for the rest of the month, so expect both a lookbook and a review at the end of the month.

And also, new new product, these false eyelashes from BH Cosmetics. I picked them up a while back but was saving them until I was ready, and I immediately LOVED them! They’re so lightweight, I can’t feel them, and they were so easy to put on. My only problem was the black eyelash glue it comes with, it almost ruined my makeup but I was able to fix it as if nothing ever happened. πŸ™‚

My June BoxyLuxe is part of my favorite as well because I really loved everything I received, but most of all, I liked the PYT Mini Blow Dryer the most and I’ve been using it a lot as of lately and it works like a charm!

boxycharmjune2019_boxyluxe_pyt

I am also loving my blue hair! If you guys missed it yesterday, I posted my Summer Hair REVEAL and of course I’m obsessed with my hair color now. Which is why I’m using the blow dryer so often, I can’t have wet hair because I will stain everything LOL.

* * *

Onto more makeup, I am loving two products from my May Boxycharm, the Alamar Cosmetics Colorette Blush Trio and the Dose of Colors Coral Crush Lipstick, both are amazing! I LOOOOVED them! Such high quality products!

favorites_june2019_blush_lips

I have also been reaching for the Wet n Wild Coloricon Blush in Apricot in the Middle almost on a daily basis. It’s my go-to for the summer. And the Essence Prettifying Lip Oil has been so good for my lips! Super hydrating and nourishing!

Now skincare, which are all honorable mentions because they were previous favorites and/or I’ve mentioned them on the blog or on videos before.

The e.l.f. Cosmetics skincare line is sooo good! I cannot stop recommending them because their skincare is good quality skincare for drugstore stuff. I will be doing a full “One Brand Focus” on their products at some point.

favorites_june2019_elfskincare

I also couldn’t pass up mentioning the Mario Badescu facial sprays, I love them so much as well, I use the Cucumber and Green Tea to refresh the skin throughout the day, the Sage and Orange Blossom in the morning to wake up and energize my skin after my workouts, and the Lavender and Chamomille one I use at night in my skincare routine.

favorites_june2019_mariobadescu

The Fourth Ray Beauty Wide Awake Trio. I’ve done a post on my summer morning skincare with these products and they’re amazing.

favorites_june2019_skincare

And lastly, the Oh! K Illuminating Serum which I picked up from Ulta a few months back. I use it almost every night and I love how it absorbs quickly into the skin and it doesn’t feel tacky or weird. I will also be doing a “One Brand Focus” on this brand as well because I have a few other products I bought with this serum.

Anyway, that is everything. Everything I have been loving since my last favorites. I will do my best to not make these posts every single month, because products don’t change that often for me.

I’d love to know what you guys have been loving as well!

I hope you guys had an amazing fourth of July yesterday and I wish you all a very awesome, safe, happy and peaceful weekend! I will see you guys next week, the week will be FULL!! ❀ xx

      Thank you πŸ™‚
And yes, I do. Only Boxycharm/BoxyLuxe now. I used to have Sephora and Ipsy as well but decided to drop them both because I was getting annoyed at only getting sample sizes.

That snack box is so cool! What a great idea.
I’m glad you’re loving that little hair dryer! I still can’t get over that it came in boxyluxe. And I can imagine how blue hair would stain easily, and your blue is so vibrant! You wouldn’t want the dye all over your clothes.
I’m using that Fourth Ray trio right now too, I just ran out of the face mist from it yesterday. Glad you’re enjoying it!

I have been wanting the snack box for a while, and when we went to the mall last month and walked into FYE, I just knew I had to have it LOL. I will be sure to get the ramen one next in the fall if they still have it, fingers crossed.
The blow dryer came at the perfect time! πŸ˜€ I’m so glad! And I know you got one too in your FFF right?? So awesome!
Nice, how are you liking it so far? I love all three of them I just don’t like the scent of the watermelon oil as much but it’s nothing too bothersome that would put me off from using it

It’s fun to treat yourself to things like that sometimes! I hope the ramen box will still be around for you.
Yes!! I love my little marble hair dryer, even if it seems to take half the day to dry my hair lol
I didn’t notice the smell too much but I also didn’t find it especially hydrating :S I’m kind of meh on the face oils but I enjoyed the face mist & face milk!

In your defense, your hair IS* longer than mine, at least I think it is, and it’s such a small dryer so it makes sense that it would take longer lol.
I am LOOOVING the face milk and the mist! I just saw on IG this morning that they will be releasing a papaya face milk!! I want it! LOL

Oh my gosh what a cute snack box! Will you be reviewing it? Still not over how beautiful your bullet journal is – truly gorgeous! I’ve never tried any skincare from Elf but now I’m very intrigued! I’ve heard specifically about the eye cream being quite good. Where do you buy the line? Off their website? There used to be an Elf store near me that carried their skincare, but I think it closed recently.

Yes I will! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to review it actually, probably next month because this moth is FULL for me LOL.
And thank you! My bullet journal has literally become my favorite thing and I never thought it would get to this point.
And you can buy e.l.f. at Target or Walmart. I can vouch that the eye cream is good, no great! I had been having dry eyelids over winter and ever since I started using this cream, my eyelids are not as dry anymore.

I’m definitely going to look into that Elf skincare line. As I’ve said so many times (lol), I’m still trying to find budget skincare products that actually WORK for my skin and so far nothing has worked. I’m so over trying different products and ending up with more acne. I was browsing the skincare aisle at Walmart and I’m not sure they have like any CF brands?! Anyway, thanks for the recommendation haha.
I hope Alex is feeling better now, lol! You’re a good wife haha. I have to say I hate talking on the phone, so I will avoid making any phone calls as long as possible…even the doctor. πŸ˜‰

So excited to see a Favorites post from you, Rossy! I can’t wait until the Japan Unboxing post– it sounds like a fun one! & I love Betsey Johnson’s style, that backpack is so you!! How adorable. ❀ The CP & VV Palettes are both so gorgeous! I didn't know colored hair stains stuff when it's wet. Perfect timing that you just received the blowdryer then. πŸ™‚

I'm still jealous I didn't get the DOSE lippie lol. I haven't touched my Alamar blush yet but I have been meaning to. It looks soooo pretty & yes, high quality. I'm happy to see it featured in this post!! It must be good!!

Looking forward to your one brand focus posts on ELF & Oh! K! I've never used products from either.

I will make sure to post my little mini review of the Japan crate next month (August). I found so many awesome little snacks. Not everything was a hit though lol.
I wish I could have gotten a dress from Betsey Johnson long ago when the prints were actually cute and different and stood out a lot. Now they’re more subtle and more for everyday or special occasions. I’m so mad at myself but back then I couldn’t afford her stuff lol. Still cant haha I found this bag at Ross lol.
Believe it or not, my hair still drips color a month later. Yesterday we had a water balloon fight and I had forgotten that it would drip so my skin got stained haha. I had to shower when I got home. Luckily it came off just by scrubbing a bit. If it had stained my skin when I first dyed it, it wouldn’t have come off 🀣🀣
Lol the Dose lippie is gorgeous girl and the formula is out of this world! I would love to have more! You MUST try the blush palette. I think you might like the formula despite the fact that it has some kickback. It blends beautifully. Honestly I’m so glad I didnt touch the cover Fx face palette because I got this one now haha.

Yay!!! I’m so excited to see what you got in the Japan crate. πŸ˜€ I feel like all sub boxes include weird/not so good products in them on purpose lol.

I saw some Betsey Johnson originals at the New York Museum. They were gorgeous!! But yeah, I’d probably only ever purchase something by her from Ross or similar stores lol.

That’s crazy about the color dripping!! I am glad that you were able to scrub it off your skin!! When a bath bomb stained me, it took a few days of scrubbing for it to finally go away!!

I would love to try the Dose lippie!! & I’m gonna try that blush palette soon. You are missing nothing with that Cover FX palette… it was so bad!!

I have the japan crate post planned to be published in two weeks. Lol.
No kidding her stuff is expensive 🀣
Omg I’d hate it if a bath bomb stained my skin! That’s so not the point of a bath bomb lol
Well in that case, should I feel bad about including it in my giveaway? Lol

I feel like I’m getting closer to catching up on my blog posts but I’m probably not lol. I am super looking forward to the day I get to see your Japan Crate though. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an unboxing for it!

Yeah, I was not happy about the bath bomb that stained me. I’m scared of them all now since they were hard for me to get into in the first place!

I don’t think you should feel bad about putting it in the giveaway because the person who gets it may love it & everything works differently for someone else. πŸ™‚

          • ayrgalaxy says:

Itll be an unboxing / review because I’ve already tried everything lmao.
Well theres also bubble bars? Those are fun lol. And perhaps ask at Lush which dont stain. Or where did you get the bath bomb from?
True that. I was thinking about having two winners for my giveaway, one for whatever I purchase and the other stash giveaway. A lot of stuff is brand new, sealed, never opened. But idk if people may not like that since they’re products that have been sitting for a while? So I thought to do just a big one? What do you think? HELP! LOL

          • Hunida says:

Yay!!! Cannot wait to see it. πŸ˜€

I do like bubble bars a lot better than bath bombs! The bomb that stained me was one I got in a sub box that Marianella sent me. πŸ˜› I still haven’t tried anything from Lush yet.

All of my products are sealed but have been sitting awhile, too! I doubt that anyone cares! They sit at the stores or in storage before they are sold for a lot longer, I bet. πŸ˜› If you are purchasing some things though, you could do one called a “Stash Giveaway” & then another one for your new things just so the people who enter know what they’re getting, maybe??

Oooooh okay I see. You should try lush lolol why havent you? Their bath bombs are amazing, I’ve never experienced any staining with theirs and they feel so luxurious and they leave your skin feeling so so soft. I highly recommend their Sex Bomb bath bomb its one of my favorites. They do have new ones every once in a while to fit the season. I dont know what they have now because I dont use them anymore, my tub is too small for me lol
Omg great minds think alike!! I’m actually planning on doing that girl!!!! So glad you said that lol I still need go go buy the remainder of the things, I want to do the giveaway this upcoming week I dont wanna wait anymore lol

Lol I don’t know why I haven’t tried Lush yet but one day I will. πŸ™‚ I’ll def check out the Sex Bomb, first thing! To be honest, I usually just use body wash for bubbles when I bathe!

I cannot wait to see your giveaway!!! πŸ˜€
