DIY Room Decor — 4 Ideas Recreated

AHiya dolls! Happy Friday!

I was supposed to post yesterday but I decided to take some more time to finish my video, specifically, to make it good or whatever. I am really happy with the way I edited it, so obviously it would mean a lot to me if you guys actually saw my video, But anyway.. I will be showing you the DIY’s I recreated, Room Decor edition!

Let’s get startedd!

Note: this is not “formal” DIY post. I’m just showing my recreations. I will link inspo for each one.

Wall Hanging (Yarn)

So I’m sad at how short this one turned out to be, but maybe next time I can use longer length strips of yarn, but overall, this was super easy to make. I like how it looks by my dresser because of it’s length so I guess it’s okay. I did of course use super cheap yarn because I wasn’t sure if it would look good, but it does and I love it!

I think when I recreate it again, I will be using better looking yarn or maybe different material? I don’t know. I also want to make the design a bit more intricate. I have seen some really cool ones on Pinterest for living rooms and I have to say my living room could probably use one too.

Wall Grid

I really like how this one turned out too. Instead of using a lot of little small sticks/dowels the way Amanda did, I decided to use longer dowels because I didn’t want to make it that big anyway. I think the size is perfect because if I want to move it, it can be put anywhere. Anyway, right now it’s currently next to my vanity so it makes an appearance in most of my videos now.

I’ve added a few things like my sunglasses, some of my necklaces, faux succulents and some photos. I think I would really love to add more to this, like more photos or maybe I will convert it into a mood board eventually.

3-Piece Photo & Initial Canvases

I love how these canvases turned out! I have them up on my room above my bed with my twinkle lights from my canopy wrapped around the middle ones. It just looks super cool when only the twinkle lights are turned on.

Anyway, I had more trouble with the letter A, but I learned a lot and the letter R was easier to finish. The photo canvas looks wrinkly from a weird angle, I think I might have added too much mod podge, but the canvas wasn’t expensive so I can always try again. I like the fact that I kept it as “AyR”, you guys all know my blog has my husband’s name in it, virtually anything I do will always be “branded” as AyRGalaxy. And I love that the photo I chose has Alex on the left and me on the right to coincide with our letters. Does that make sense? Anyway I think it looks awesome!

Photo Frame Turned Tray

I have had this idea in my head for a LONG time but could never find these deep photo frames. I don’t even remember where I even found it, but I’m glad I did because I could finally do this photo frame turned tray DIY. There’s a lot of these on Pinterest, but the majority of them are actual serving trays, but I like this without the handles.

I use this for some of my flat lays to add more height to my photos, lol. But for the most part, they will be on top of my dresser with my crystals and stones (I want more btw) as well as my CBD gummies. 🙂

So these are my recreations you guys! I’m happy with how they all came out, I cannot pick a favorite! I’m sorry it has taken me like months to post them. They have been done since before summer started but I always prioritized other content before this.

Watch my DIY video:

I got one more DIY video coming but I will be delaying it a bit and putting other content first. The good thing about it is that it’s not seasonal, so it won’t matter when I show you lol.

What do you guys think of these DIYs?
If you have Pinterest, what’s something you would like to recreate?

Yeah I might have mentioned it once or twice a very long time ago LOL
Love my crystals too! I need to recharge them.
The yarn is really nice! I wish I would have made this with thicker, cozier yarn. Maybe one day I will get a TON of yarn to make a huge macrame wall hanging 🙂

Oh man, Rossy, you impress me constantly!! I love everything so much, it all looks professionally made, like you bought it from the store! The photo frame tray is so cute– I’ve seen those all over Pinterest. ❤ & your A & R turned out extremely well, how did you do that? Did you paint/stencil them or freehand?! I totally get what you mean about the picture coinciding with the letters & your brand, love how that worked out, too. 🙂 Seriously, thank you for sharing your DIYs with us!! I enjoyed seeing them so much. ❤

awh nahhh not professional LOL but thank youu! that means a lot! 🙂 the initial canvases took the longest i think because i had to use create a stencil using a cereal box.. then I had to trace the letter onto the cereal box, then draw it thickly, then use an x-acto knife to carefully cut it out LOL it was so much work! but also kind of easy 🙂
i should have my other DIY video up this week, hopefully, i have one more to film because i have been putting it off haha just last minute details LOL
thanks so much for always leaving me such sweet and kind comments 🙂
