PLAN WITH ME — August 2019 Bullet Journal

Happy Friday dolls!

What a week it has been! Literally super stressful which is ironic because I’m trying to reduce my stress, but parenthood can do that to you I guess. Anyway, I’m here to show you my August bullet journal, it IS pineapple themed! And in case you were wondering, I do like pineapple on my pizza. #pineapplepizzaisthebestpizza

So many things went wrong in July including a few mistakes on my bullet journal which I point out in my video, but keep scrolling to see the photos too:

Cover Page & Quote

This time I did it in reverse, cover page first and quote after. It was only because of this giant pineapple that I decided to do it in that order. And I think it looks quite good with the month written across it. I had actually wrote “July” on it, so that was one of my HUGE mistakes, I ended up having to cut a piece of paper out of the end of my bujo, and placed it over the original one with the actual month…August.. LOL

The quote I chose was obviously pineapple themed as well: “A pineapple has pointy defenses, but it’s still sweet. Be a pineapple.” I decided to do pineapple doodles for the rest of the spreads to keep the theme running throughout because I didn’t want to draw pineapples like the first one over and over, it would have been too time consuming.

Calendar Spread

My calendar spread is different in the sense that the lines are just a colored marker rather than my usual black Faber Castell pen. It looks cleaner, more subtle and overall nicer in my opinion. Perhaps I need to get a thinner pen so it doesn’t look as thick.

I went back to my notes box because I didn’t use my priority box as much last month, so I may go back and forth depending on how much stuff I need to do each month.

IG Planner & Habits Trackers

I had a Summer Bucket List last month, and to change it up I’m trying out an IG planner, since I’m doing something similar to this already elsewhere. I thought including it in my BuJo would make things simpler for me. We’ll see how this works out.

My habit trackers are the same. My brush pen was getting  dried or something because I ended up having to switch to a regular black marker, and when I tried to use the white gel pen right over it, it sucked up the pigment and it ended up looking a bit grey. May have to buy another one just in case.

Fitness & Health

These pages are more or less the same each month. The only thing different about this one is the change in the right page. I’m not including the 30 day challenges I was doing the past two months. I explain more why on my video, I may address that another time here.

But anyway, I replaced my challenges with only one, which is the #100GluteChallenge which is a new challenge from Blogilates. I will be participating and the challenge actually starts this weekend on the 4th and ends September 2nd. So it should be exciting and I cannot wait to do my first challenge along with Cassey as it comes out. I will also be trying to do different exercises each day which will range from PIIT, HIIT, yoga, and Pop Pilates.

Weekly Spread

Lastly, my weekly spread. Super simple. Just some pineapples on the sides and some open space to write my goals/agenda on each section for each day of the week.

So far these layouts have been really nice for me, I think I like layouts that have NO boxes at all, but sometimes it’s nice and it goes with the theme, so I will be going back and forth with those.

That’s it you guys, my August bujo! I love how it looks, still pretty summery, colorful, and bright! Next month might be tricky because it’s back to school/end of summer/autumn season so I may have to come up with a theme that includes all of that or something. I don’t know. We’ll see.

How are you guys doing today and what are your plans for the day?

  1. Ah I love this Rossy, the pineapple theme is so uplifting and Summery! I LOVE! Also, I still need to try pineapple on pizza… hehe.

This is my favourite bullet journal I’ve seen from you, but I’d totally have done the same thing and written July over the pineapple too, you saved it well though 😉 I’d never notice!

The habit tracker is the best idea and so motivating, I absolutely love it. Thank you for sharing Rossy, have a great August ❤️

  2. Wow!
Lavender, lemons, and now pineapples! I love the themes and you always execute them so well. I love watching you draw everything. It makes me think I can do it too! Then I give it a try, I fail, and I’m glad no one ever saw my poor attempts at drawing things!

The 100 glute challenge sounds interesting!

    The fine-apple is too cute… ♥

do you really? I may have to do it like that next month. still don’t know what kind of theme I want to do. maybe leaves?
yes! i have missed a few days but end up making up for it the next day, so in really, some days I’m doing two workouts in one day, I’m really liking the challenge, very challenging, I love it! it’s literally forcing me to get better and i’m seeing a change 😀 LOLOLOLOL

      1. Right? It makes NO sense to be against pineapple on pizza… it’s so yummy.

Yeah, I like the month first because then you know it’s changing right away. 🙂 For the theme, you could do leaves OR back-to-school like apples, backpacks, rulers, letters/shapes, etc. 😀

Aw yay! So happy you are seeing a change with the blogilates challenge! Even if you miss a day, I love how you make up for it!
