I’m Rossy and I never thought I would ever write a beauty post with the word Spongebob! You might be asking yourself, another haul?
A lot of you know me well when it comes to makeup, but what you probably didn’t know is that I love Spongebob Squarepants. Literally. I quote it so much! My neighbor and I would quote it back and forth enough times that my husband felt left out so I introduced him to the world of Spongebob. Finally! It was about time he understood my references!
One of my besties, Jessica, found this brand/collab on Facebook and she tagged me. I just had to check it out. Immediately. I am not familiar with HIPDOT nor have I ever heard of them, until now, but according to their site they have been in Allure, Pop Sugar, Forbes and TeenVogue. They are a relatively new brand as they launched in Spring 2019.
Through a quick Google Search I was able to find out that this brand is a “clean, cool, feel good beauty” brand based in LA. But let’s get into the few items I got from this collection because I am so happy and excited.
All I grabbed was the Bikini Bottom Eye Palette and the Jellyfish Lip Gloss Trio. They have the Spongebob Everything Set Royal (full collection) for $94.00 USD which features the following:
- Bikini Bottom Eyeshadow Palette
- Sandy Cheeks Blush Bronzer Duo
- Jellyfish Lip Gloss Trio
- Sandy Cheeks 4 Shade Highlighter
- Patrick Sheet Mask
I would have loved to buy the Best Friends Masks (4-pack), but they were sold out. I also would have loved* to get the Sandy Cheeks highlighting palette because it looks gorgeous, but they didn’t have it for sale on it’s own? I skipped out on the blush/bronzer duo because it looks like it wouldn’t suit my skin tone. So anyway, I only got two products and that’s okay. More than enough to try out the brand anyway.
I’m not sure what to think of the glosses, hopefully they’re good. I’m not hoping for intensely pigmented glosses because they are normally lighter than they appear in the tube. I just hope they are not sticky, because that would be a deal-breaker.
The palette on the other hand looks gorgeous now that I have it in my hand. Looks better in person than in all those photos and I am hoping that the pigment, wear and longevity are good, otherwise I’ll be sorely disappointed.
I am hoping to try these products sometime soon since they are limited edition, and I cannot wait to dip into these wonderful looking shades and see their potential.
What do you think of these products?
