Fashion Friday in Black & White — Comfort in Quarantine

Hello all!

I haven’t done a fashion post in a very long time. In fact, I ever hardly do them. But lately I have been inspired by a few fellow bloggers and instagrammers, mainly Kate from Live in the Nautical.

She is so bubbly and I love how fearless she is to just get out there and do photoshoots on her own with her tripod. I wish I had the guts to do what she does, and that’s why I think she’s amazing and inspiring. I am still too awkward to do photoshoots outside so I wanted to give it a try at home. Perfect time to try!

Since it’s my first fashion post in a very long time, I thought I could start off easy and plain by showing you my favorite outfit during quarantine. Oregon weather tends to be rainy, cold and cloudy in the spring, so I’ve been wearing warmer clothes.

I got these joggers from Ross and the Pusheen hoodie from Hot Topic before we were ordered to stay home. I got the joggers for our trip to Vegas so I could be comfy in the airplane, but I never imagined I would love them so much to the point where I would be wearing them ALL the time.

My Converse are currently my go-to pair even though they’re not as comfortable to walk around in. However, I love wearing them for a little while. And since my hoodie is an ivory white, and my joggers grey, these grey Converse seemed to pair perfectly with this outfit.

I meant to show you these photos in color but I took a few in black and white and liked those better. My outfit doesn’t really have any color anyway, and there is something about black and white photos that look great.

I typically don’t do fashion posts because my style is not what you’d call trendy, and I’m not really sure people would like my style? I don’t know if that makes sense. But if you guys like these posts, and don’t care about my clothes, I’d love to do a few more.

Besides makeup, dressing up is another way I express myself and sharing it with you regardless if it’s trendy or not, would be such a fun thing for me to do. I think it would also push me out of my comfort zone by having to take photos either on my own here at home, or outside in some location.

This photoshoot was so fun, you wouldn’t believe how long it took me to clean up my kitchen just to clear it out again! Let me know if you guys want to see more posts like this. I would love to do more new things around here to keep my motivation up.
