Product Empties — June to September 2020

Hello everyone!

I had completely forgotten that I had empties waiting to be photographed for a post! I cannot believe this, lol. I dropped the ball and now I’m a few months behind on some content. Aside from this, I hope you have enjoyed what I’ve been posting lately. Let’s get started. I will keep each review brief and link to a post if there is one.

Haircare

Garnier Fructis Smoothing Treat Shampoo — I got this and a conditioner from Influenster but they didn’t require a blog or social media post, so I never shared my thoughts with you. I liked this product and it made my hair feel soft and all, as it is made with avocado! 😀 It is suitable for vegans but it is NOT CF, so that was such a bummer… I really liked it for my hair too….

Love Beauty & Planet Murumuru Butter & Rose Conditioner — Already gave my review of this in great detail (plus other products from this collection), read it here. In short, did not like.

Love Beauty & Planet Volume and Bounty Sulfate Free Concentrated Shampoo & Conditioner — I did give reviews of these as well earlier this year as I got them in a VoxBox. I did like them, but the brand’s shady CF status is what makes me not want to repurchase from them. Read my full review here.

Bath & Body

Bodycology Cherry Blossom Body Cream — Loved the scent of this body cream but boy did it suck! I felt like I needed so much of the product in order for my skin to feel moisturized! It worked best when applied right after a shower but I finished it super quick!

Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Spray (unbranded) — Can you tell I love cherry blossom? I wish I knew the brand because this was by far one of my favorite body sprays. Subtle, but it lingered the way a perfume would.

Bolero Coconut & Rose Oil Body Wash— Hadn’t used a body wash in a long time and I was pleasantly surprised that it lathered super well! And it only cost me $1.00 USD 😀 Sadly, I don’t think this brand is truly* CF, so I will use up all the products I have and move on to the next brand..

Skincare

Physician’s Formula Skin Booster Vitamin Shot Brightening Serum — Just reviewed this not too long ago here. I liked it but the brand is now selling in mainland China so I won’t be repurchasing. My sister left me her bottle so I do have a back-up for the time being until I find a replacement..

Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash-Off Treatment — I don’t know why it took me so long to finish this, but I loved it! One of the best and favorite charcoal treatments ever! 😀 It’s so pricey though!!

Thayer’s Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial Toner (Lavender) — Another favorite brand. Usually witch hazel can be drying for my skin, but I don’t know what it is about this that feels super hydrating. One of the best toners I’ve ever tried!

Pacifica Travel Size Coconut Micellar Water Cleansing Tonic — I really liked it at first because it did a great job at removing small traces of makeup. However, with continued use I noticed it started irritating my eye area and did not feel hydrating. Thankfully I only had gotten the travel size.

Love Beauty & Planet Murumuru Butter & Rose 2 Minute Magic Masque — Again, I reviewed some products from this collection here. This mask is nothing to write home about. I’ve tried better. Don’t waste your money.

Bliss Eye Got This Holographic Foil Eye Mask — I love under eye masks and I ended up reviewing these on IG. The stayed on and did not slip, and the serum absorbed quickly. My eyes looked and felt better after wearing them. Would definitely love to get another set!

Freeman Brightening Seaweed & Pearl Sheet Mask — I also happen to love sheet masks, and I was pleased with this one. So hydrating, my skin felt moisturized the morning after, even though I didn’t notice a brightening effect. It was cooling and hydrating with no irritation, I don’t ask for much when it comes to sheet masks. 🙂

Makeup

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray — It took me forever to finish this setting spray. I had won it in a giveaway long ago. Frankly, I don’t remember it being any better than other drugstore sprays I’ve tried. So I don’t really know why it was so hyped?

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara — I guess this is the old packaging? I don’t know if I took too long to open it, but I didn’t like it at all. It was a bit dry, it clumped my lashes together, and it also flaked under my eyes.

Wet n Wild Photofocus Concealer — I liked it so much as it didn’t feel too matte like most drugstore concealers, but sadly they made the decision to sell in China so I won’t be repurchasing. My search for a holy grail concealer continues…
