Product Empties — September to December 2020

Hello again!

It has been months but I want to jump right back in. I want to start by doing mini/speed reviews by recapping all my empties. I need to do this because I have kept everything for months and it’s time to take out the trash LOL.

So let’s get started.

Cleansers

Bliss Makeup Melt Dry/Wet Gentle Jelly Cleanser — Very gentle and such a good makeup remover and cleanser. Works best on dry skin for removing makeup and best wet for cleansing. Worth a try. Would recommend.

e.l.f. Exfoliating Scrub — Gentle scrub that can be used on both face and body. Felt hydrating and smooth on the skin.

First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser with FAB Antioxidant Booster — A favorite cleanser. Foams up nicely, does not irritate or dry out my skin. Lasts forever!

Skincare / Bath & Body

Yardley London Oatmeal & Almond Soap Bar — Lathers up nicely. Lasts a while. A little goes a long way. Smells nice and subtle. Felt hydrating on the skin.

IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream — Great cream. Noticed my skin was brighter when using this. Priced too high for what it does though. Didn’t see a huge difference long term.

Victoria’s Secret Love Fragrance Mist — Received as a gift. Lovely fragrance, not too strong.

Tuscan Hills French Lavender Hand Cream — Received as a gift. Super moisturizing. Great for dry skin due to lots of hand washing.

Cowshed Cow Herb Hand Cream x2 — Went fast. Little goes a long way though. Very moisturizing but prefer the TH French lavender cream instead as it was far more hydrating.

Makeup

Butter London Double Decker Lashes Mascara — Did not wow me. Lashes look dark and lenghty but not a lot of volume.

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara — Great brow gel. Great for cancelling out orange tones when used with pencils. Lasts all day.

BH Cosmetics Eyelash Adhesive — Best lash glue I’ve ever used. Comes with their lashes so I highly recommend.

Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer — Was good at first but the formula changed too soon after opening and became really dry and cakey. I’m convinced this was the culprit for my dry eyelids too.

theBalm INSTAIN Blush in Pinstripe — Long wearing blush, super awesome. Would love another one in a different shade.

Essence Lash & Brow Clear Mascara — Used only for brows but worked great. Brows stayed in place all day long.

Skincare & Miscellaneous

Simple Skincare Light Moisturizing SPF15 — Good moisturizer but it left me feeling oily so I stopped using it. The only con I’ve found when it comes to SPF moisturizers is the oily feeling after applying.

Fourth Ray Beauty Fresh AF Face Mist — Loved this mist. Super hydrating and left me feeling fresh. Doubled as a setting spray for makeup as well as refresher.

e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer — Great daily moisturizer, added needed hydration to my skin during the winter and cold months.

Colourpop Brow Boss Eyebrow Pencil — Great brow pencil. Have done an in-depth review of this in my most recent post about eyebrow pencils.

Wet n Wild Shutter Shock Lashes — Lashes are pretty but the lash glue is terrible. The lashes are also pretty long and need to be trimmed but the lash band is too thin and cutting it precisely can also ruin the lash band leaving it with a few sharp edges. Perhaps not for my eye shape.

In these types of posts, I feel like I can cover many products that aren’t normally reviewed on my blog.
Do you like speed reviews or more in-depth reviews? Do you like people reviewing empties?
