Good morning my dolls! Happy Friday!!
I apologize for not posting this look yesterday! If you follow me on Twitter I was updating you guys on how it was going (sort of) and because I wasn’t able to finish it by the time 3pm came around, I decided to delay it till today.
Long story short, even though this video was by far the EASIEST to edit to date, for some reason my laptop was taking forever to render the video edits, so finally I had to give in and set-up Alex’s computer as reinforcement/back-up.
While my video was rendering in his computer, I hopped onto mine to write this up and thankfully were able to finish everything last night! *sigh* I literally should look for a new laptop, one that is able to handle the workload…
Ok, anyway I’m rambling, a lot of you probably didn’t care either way haha. Uhmm… but yeah.. Aside from that little chaos and staying up till 1am 2am to finish this, I’m most likely sleeping in right now and will soon wake up to get ready for my special day! 😀
Mi cumpleaños, whooooo!!! 😀 😀 😀
Ok, I really should shut up now and let you take a look at today’s Halloween look.
P.S. Since I delayed this post, I added TWO extra photos! You’re welcome! 🙂
Today’s Halloween look was actually supposed to be a different one, but Alex thought that I would be able to do it when he saw my scare crow look, so I said “okay, let’s do it!”.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies, I watch it in October and again in December. I have seen some pretty dope recreations of Sally and I took some inspo from Cosmobyhaley’s recent Glam Sally video which I thought was phenomal. I also took some pointers from a reference photo from Madeyewlook because she’s the queen of body-painting!
Watch a tutorial of this look:

I’m loving this look so so much! I think I really pushed my own limitations by painting the clothes. I tried to make the stitches as realistic as I possibly could, but I think that with more shading it could look a whole lot better! I will get there! 🙂
And again, sorry for delaying it, thank you for understanding!!
Do you guys like The Nightmare Before Christmas?
Do you watch for Halloween, Christmas or both?

Elmer’s glue stick on your eyebrows?! Whaat?! Was it easy to wash off?! Stitches really give me the heebie jeebies & I’m def getting them from these photos! They look so good, especially right by your lips which look so cute & round!!

Yeah just to set them in place so they don’t move around when you’re placing the paint right in top lol. I think drag queens also use the glue on their eyebrows to hide theirs and draw them on differently.
Awh thank you!!! The stitches were the most difficult because it was hard to create the shadows to make them look 3D ish lol

But did it hurt when you washed the glue out of your eyebrows?!? I think you did such a great job with stitches. 😀

Thanks Amy! I’ve been working so hard on them but they’re also not the best quality because my camera isn’t actually meant for filming lol

Thank you love!! That means a lot but I’m no pro LOL. It might* be easier to do this on someone else though 🙂 do you dress up for Halloween or nah? I’m still thinking about it LOL

I love Halloween, so dressing up always sounds fun, but often I don’t have enough money and I don’t have an event to go to, to show it off

Awh yeah I know what you mean. I have a kiddo now so I have a reason too, but I understand that not having somewhere to go would be more like you’re wasting your money. 😕
If you lived near us you could join us lol. We usually say the more the merrier lol.

This is awesome! You are so talented. You’ve really done a fantastic job! I also love how you extended the paint onto your body as well, instead of just your face.

Thank you Britney!! 🙂
Part of me doing body paint was primarily because I didn’t have the wig to complete the look nor did I have the dress and I felt like it wouldn’t look like Sally if I didn’t have either. At least with the dress you can tell 🙂

I’m sooo behind on finishing up reading your Halloween posts but this one looks amazing as always! I’m so impressed that you painted on the clothes too and it really added to the whole look! I love how you just go all the way with everything to make sure it looks it’s best. Great job as always, lovely!! 🙌🏻🤩

Aw no problem, you don’t even have to worry about reading every single one. If i’m not mistaken you’re probably dealing with midterms right now so I wouldn’t even worry LOL
But thank you! Painting the clothes was so time-consuming and also difficult to get the lines just right, it’s not perfect and it also looks a little flat but I will try to practice more in the future 🙂

I love reading all of them though! It may just take me a while to get through them apparently since I’m so far behind. 😉 I don’t think I ever had midterms? I mean I had a couple weeks with quizzes so I don’t know. But not right now, just working on a big paper. 😉
I can imagine how time consuming painting those clothes would be! And how difficult it would be! I think you still did such a great job.

Awh thanks!! 😭😭 but really, don’t worry if you’re not able to read them all but since it seems like you might, well thank you in advance you’re the sweetest!!
Ah really? They’re doing midterms over here right now. Huh, that’s interesting. Good luck on the paper, I remember those being the worst lol. My least favorite.

Of course!! I love reading your content! ❤
I know, it's so strange, I'm not really sure what schedule my class is following. We didn't really have fall break either. Maybe because it's English 102/College Composition II so it's a pre-req course? Can't say I'm complaining about not having an exam right now though lol. Thank you!! Thankfully, my professor pushed back the deadline for the final draft so I can take more time putting together my rough draft by the end of the week instead of by tomorrow. 🙂

Who knows? Lol. But yeah that’s right, one less is best lol. And that’s so great, I love it when teachers are more understanding and give you some wiggle room for deadlines.
