  • Super Shock Shadow: 1 x 1.45 g / 0.05 oz
  • Pressed Powder: 9 x 0.90 g / 0.03 oz
  • Pressed Glitter: 2 x 1.0 g / 0.04 oz

Packaging

I love when ColourPop has these cardboard/magnetic closure palettes. I just like these better and I feel like the plastic ones are more at risk of breaking if they fall. For example, I actually dropped this palette and I freaked out, but everything is fine!

colourpop_sweettalk_paletteThe palette is gorgeous inside and out, so flowery and pink/peachy tones all over. It just looks super unique and nothing like their other palettes so to me it stands out a lot. It does have the shade names in the back as well as on the inside right underneath each shade. It does not come with a mirror but that’s okay! Also, I am aware that it’s a bit more pricey than their other palettes, but it seems they might be accounting for the new pressed glitters? Possibly even the super shock shadow being in a palette for the first time? I don’t know for sure..

Formula & Application

I picked up this palette because I really like the color story; it has a nice range of oranges and corals, some neutrals, yellows, pinks, reds and browns. It also has three different finishes; Matte, Metallic, and Glitter.colourpop_sweettalk_palette2I am going to tell you guys right away that this palette is really really good! I was impressed with the pressed glitters as well as their super shock shadow because they’re both new to me. CP is known for their amazing Super Shock Shadows but I’ve NEVER tried them before getting this palette so yes, impressive and pretty!

I do have several single pressed powders so I’ve become familiar with their formulas and I really like them. Most of them are very velvety smooth and blend easily, so this palette was no different. The shades are also pigmented and I did not have a difficulty building up the shades.

colourpop_sweettalk_palette4

The palette has a shade to set your primer, several transition shades that vary in color, the darker ones to smoke out any look, the metallics which are super pigmented, and of course the glitters. The glitters do take some time and patience to work with, they’re best applied with finger tips WITH glitter primer so they stick. The glitter primer will also prevent too much fallout.

I do not have anything bad to say about this palette, no two shades are alike which is a plus for me, especially when it comes to the transition shades because I don’t feel like I’m creating the same look over and over again.

Shade Breakdown & Swatches

As always I like to break down the shades for you.
I will make it quick considering I couldn’t fault this palette at all.

Pros & Cons:

Pros:

  • Color story is varied nicely; 12 different shades
  • NEW pressed glitters formula
  • Super Shock Shadow for the first time ever (in a palette)
  • Pigmented
  • Blendable
  • Velvety smooth
  • Can be built up
  • Cruelty-free

Cons:

  • Pressed glitters take some time to work with/Need glitter primer (not really a con for me, but it might be for you)
  • Price is a bit higher, but probably accounting for the pressed glitters and/or super shock shadow

Looks:

I got four looks and I’m so sorry but I forgot which shades I used for a few looks, so I won’t be including that in this post.

I do have a tutorial on this last look on my channel if you guys are interested and I briefly talk about the palette as well:

This is a great palette and I’m so glad I got it! I was concerned at first that I wouldn’t be able to create different kinds of looks with it, but I was surprised that I did, because the shades all vary in color. The palette is super pretty and it quickly became a summer favorite, so if you guys don’t have something like this in your collection, I definitely recommend it!

    1. I love it too! I’m not really a huge fan of glitter but this one has been the easiest to work with so far.
Thank you! I knew I had to create a darker look and try to use as many shades as I possibly can.

  1. Wow! This palette is my favourite you have ever reviewed. It looks amazing. Also I know you say it’s pricier than their usual stuff but when I saw the price of this, as someone who hasn’t used ColorPop before I thought β€˜wow, what a reasonable price’. I guess I’m used to spending like 30/40/50 dollars / euros on palettes when I go on holiday so this is a plus for me. I’m definitely going to pick this up when I come to America.

I love the look of the palette, from the packaging to the beautiful shades. I think Prima Donna looks like my absolute favourite shade, so gorgeous! The glitter looks so pigmented in that shade. I’m surprised you have to use a glitter primer with the glitter shadows as normally I only do that with actual glitter pigments but hey, I’m all for it especially when they’re that pretty. Since I have a glitter primer anyway, this is hardly a big deal for me.

I just love the looks you have created with this palette Rossy. Gorgeous as always. My favourite look would have to be the Coral Peach, that eyeshadow looks absolutely flawless, soft and glam at the same time, beautiful. The glitter half cut crease look is absolutely insane too. I saw the thumbnail in my YT subscriptions last night and I thought β€˜I can’t wait to watch that video’. Seriously Rossy, the look is stunning. You are one talented, creative lady ❀️❀️

Have a fab week hun and thanks for sharing and introducing us to this amazing palette. I can’t wait to try it for myself!

    1. Really?? Yayyyy!! Lol one of my favorite palettes too the color story is gorgeous and in my opinion, unique.
Yes! The price is no big deal to me when it comes to ColourPop because I’ve come to learn just how GOOD their formulas are. Honestly I almost feel like this palette comes quite close to the Violet Voss one I just reviewed not that long ago. And it also feels like better quality and formula than some high end ones I’ve either purchased myself or have gotten in sub boxes.
You MUST get ColourPop if you can. They have more stuff online, so definitely look into if they have worldwide shipping or maybe they’ll have it on beauty bay (I think it’s what its called). They have something for beginners, enthusiasts, and MUA’s alike.
Prima Drama is GORGEOUS!! I was surprised too that it works best with glitter primer considering it’s supposed to self-adhesive. It is, but it mostly sticks to your fingers, and it does have some fallout which is hard to get off your face lol.
The Coral Peach looks is one of my favorites too because I kind of topped the lid with the glitter and loved how it looked. That look gave me the idea to add glitter to my yellow look and I was not disappointed lol.
Awh thanks so much doll!!! You are seriously the best!! πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ§‘πŸ§‘
Have an amazing rest of your week as well!!

  2. This is such a gorgeous palette, probably the one I’m most intrigued by from ColourPop. I could probably do without the glitters personally since I never get a lot of wear from those, but I get that they wanted to have multiple textures in there. Beautiful looks as always!

    1. Right? I’m so glad I got it, because I almost didnt thinking i already had these shades but i dont. Its such a unique palette in my eyes. And that’s understandable, most people dont care much for glitters as they will be the shades youd reach for the least, but at the same time,.you have them there if you ever do want to add a bit more pop to your look 😊
Thanks so much! And thanks for stopping by!

      1. The funny thing is I actually use glitter more than I think I do! But for some reason, I’m always like β€œoh I don’t need glitters, they’re unnecessary”!! πŸ˜†

        1. They can come in handy every once in a while to make a look a bit more sparkly, but I don’t think it’s a necessity to have so many unless you’re creating a TON of looks all the time. then, yes, kind of unnecessary LOL

  3. I’m so glad that you love this palette too! It’s amazing how versatile it actually ended up being for a palette with mostly peachy shades. All of the looks you did are so pretty, and I’m sure you’ll get lots of use out of it this Summer.
Also I love how you made all the shade names the colors they are in the palette!

    1. I know right?? I wasn’t expecting this from this palette. I saw they released an orange palette, I think I’m good with this one, though I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wanted it lol.
Thank you! The palette has definitely come in handy this season I cannot wait to keep wearing it πŸ™‚

  4. Oh my goodness, that 4th look is SO glam!! I think that’s the most glam look I’ve seen you do on this blog. It’s absolutely stunning and those lashes are everything lol. Anywayy this palette is beautiful, love the packaging. It’s so delicate and pretty while also very summery. It’s funny because I just bought a romper that looks just like the pattern and colors of this packaging, lol!

    1. Thank you! One of my favorite looks! πŸ™‚ Aww really? Most glam? Yeah I guess I see that πŸ™‚ maybe the lashes make it more dramatic and what not πŸ™‚
this really is a beautiful palette I am glad I bought it! would love another CP palette though LOL
oooommmmmg I’d love to see that romper!! they don’t look good on me so I don’t wear them but I love seeing them on other people! and if the pattern is the same, I would love to see!

      1. I bet the eyelashes are what makes it seem so glam! They just bring the look to another level, lol! Love it!
I will have to get a pic of my romper for you! I don’t know if it looks good on me or not, but I wanted to try it out since everyone seems to love them! And I got it on the boardwalk, so that was fun! I don’t know if the pattern is exactly the same, but they at least look similar! Very pink and floral. πŸ’–

  5. This palette is so dang pretty! I love the packaging & the color story so much! How cool that they included the super shock formula for the first time & some glitters, too. πŸ™‚ So glad that nothing broke when you dropped it!! I would have freaked out, too, lol.

The variety of shades is awesome, you were able to create so many different, gorgeous looks!! My favorite is Coral Peach, for sure. πŸ™‚ This was such a positive review– so happy to hear you are loving it so much!!

    1. Isnt it? Super gorgeous I love it! Ans yeah I thought it was awesome for them to include the super shock shadow as I’ve never tried it before so that was a nice little treat for me lol.
I’m so stoked the shades differed from one another because I felt like I could make a variety of looks without them looking the same.
Coral Peach is definitely a favorite of mine too.
      Thank you lovee!!
