Restoring Hair Health with Finesse — Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Happy Wednesday loves!

Hair care has been a very difficult journey for me as some products work to tame my frizzy hair but don’t detangle, others are complete flops, and some in between. In my search for products that work for my hair, the Finesse Shampoo + Conditioner come fairly close.

Learn About the Brand

A well-kept secret, Finesse products are just being discovered by the millennial and Gen Z generations. However, the brand actually launched over 30 years ago in 1982, with a commercial featuring Sharon Stone. While hairstyles, brands, and trends have come and gone, Finesse has always retained its signature creamy, highly moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, as well as its much-loved clean, fresh scent.

Celebrity Fans — Kim Kardashian has been a longtime fan of the brand and she’s even inspired her half-sister Kendall Jenner, who now swears by it.

Formula & Scent:

The scent is amazing and gentle so I think people with sensitive noses will be okay with this product. Both products smell identical and it’s such a pleasant scent and I LOVE that the scent lasts for DAYS! Even when my hair is dirty, it still smells like these products and smells clean.

The formula of both the shampoo and conditioner feel creamy, and make my hair feel soft and smooth from the moment the product is applied until the next wash. The formula is infused with active proteins that help restore and strengthen the hair.

Results:

At first I was a bit skeptical because I didn’t notice a change, but after 3 washes, I was surprised at how my frizzy hair was manageable! (Please note it does take 3-5 washes to notice any results). Also, I was able to wash my hair every two to three days without my hair becoming oily as it normally does. However, these products did nothing to help combat my tangled hair.

I liked the fact that my hair remained relatively smooth and soft until the next wash and the scent stayed in my hair as well. Before using this shampoo and conditioner my hair’s texture was rough, dry, and very frizzy but now my hair feels so much healthier!

Despite how great these products are, it bums me out that this brand isn’t cruelty-free. I tried to search for status but to no avail. The products are fantastic and I would love to keep buying them because they’ve worked far better than other products.

Before:

Notice on the left photo how frizzy my hair is around my ear. Most may think it’s volume but it’s not. This side of my head is usually much harder to manage which is why I wear my hair down almost all the time.

After:

This is my hair after two weeks of using this shampoo + conditioner together. The same side as above that was a frizzy mess is now VERY manageable. I don’t need to use other hair products to keep my frizz and/or flyaways at bay. I absolutely love how my hair has transformed with just a few washes! I can wear it up or down! 😀

I used to lovee finesse products and then all of a sudden I just started trying other/different brands but maybe I’ll get back into this one. I do change shampoos and conditioners each time they run out. Anything to smooth out my hair I’m all in! You can definitely tell how soft and smooth your hair looks though, the results are highly visible which is appealing! Ps are those cherry blossoms in the background?! I got so distracted when I saw those and was going to comment on that first lol

How funny! I swear, we keep getting approved for the same sponsored posts. I still need to submit my review. I liked it at first but now I’m having second thoughts about it… I’ll most likely go back to my old shampoo.
