January 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag Reveal

Hey my dolls!

I know that today isn’t technically a “beauty” day, but I got no lifestyle posts to show you since I haven’t done anything (I do have one coming for you Wednesday, though). I received my Ipsy bag over the weekend, so I thought I could do an unboxing/reveal since I don’t have anything else to post, and these posts tend to be pretty short anyway.

Also, be on the lookout for tomorrow’s beauty post–my December 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag review, which would have gone up last week if I hadn’t taken a break.

Ok. . . Moving on! Let’s see what my Ipsy bag brought me this month!

Theme: Game Face

I don’t like the bag. Sorry but I don’t. I’m a little sporty, but I feel like this is too cliche? The colors and the fabric resemble a running shoe, which I assume that what they were going for, hence the zipper being shoelaces, but it’s not for me. On the other hand, I can see why they would make this the theme this month, as so many people (me included) have fitness in their New Year’s resolutions.

I do love the other side of the postcard for us to fill out. I wrote “peace”. Long story short: I’m often consumed by stress, and at times peace seems unattainable, so it’s practically a never-ending battle to achieve peace. Ironic because peace should come easy.. I’m sure if I could just feel at peace with so many things, I could achieve far more.

Bag Contents:

  • Ciate London Fierce Flicks Liquid Eyeliner
  • Global Beauty Care Charcoal Wash-Off Mask
  • Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Bikini
  • So Susan Liquid Matte in Raisin Flesh
  • theBalm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer

First Impressions:

As I mentioned above, not a huge fan of the makeup bag. In terms of products received, I’m fairly happy with most. I always welcome charcoal skincare products because they work wonders for my skin.

I’m excited to have received a sample of the Mary-Lou Manizer, as I only have Cindy-Lou Manizer, and this one seems like it’d be better for my skin tone. I also cannot wait to try the liquid eyeliner to compare to my favorite NYX liquid eyeliner.

So Susan and Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics are new brands to me. I believe I received a So Susan brush last year, but this would be my first makeup product from the brand, same goes for DLS. I’m not too sure what I think about the lipstick yet, but I know I won’t use the eyeshadow. I feel like they keep sending these kinds of shade, I’m already tired of it..so I’ll put it aside for a future giveaway (which by the way will be when I reach 1k followers here on WP).
