Happy Friday!
Yes, I’m back with another pictorial! And I will be doing more on the upcoming weeks before summer is over.
I posted a first impressions on the Alamar Cosmetics Reina del Caribe Eyeshadow Palette yesterday and I also did one look (video included). I mentioned in that post that this is the palette I needed to get me out of this creative rut, because I’ve just been feeling so uninspired with makeup. But I have so many ideas in my head of looks I want to try using this palette.
This is technically the second look using the Reina del Caribe palette. I ended up changing it a bit and I like this better than what I initially had in mind, so I hope you like it too!
I named it Sunset on the Water because the orange tones in this palette blended perfectly together and they created a nice gradient. The shade Varadero is the star of this look. It stands out so much, it’s stunning, and it looks like glistening water!
Makeup Details:
Only showing what I used on the eyes:
Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow Pencil | Coastal Scents Step 1 Eye Primer | Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder | Alamar Cosmetics Reina del Caribe Eyeshadow Palette | Essence Kajal Eyeliner Pencil in Black | NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk | IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara
Sunset on the Water Pictorial
Here’s the breakdown:
STEP 1: Prime and set your eyelids.
STEP 2: Apply ‘Coco-taxi’ right above the crease — my eye shape is a little weird so applying it above the crease allows me to create a nice gradient that it is visible when I open my eyes.
STEP 3: Apply ‘Tropico’ right below ‘Coco-taxi‘ and blend it upward to start creating a gradient.
STEP 4: Apply ‘Guantanamera’ on the crease and onto most of your eyelid, leaving some space near the lashline — that is where we will add the ‘eyeliner’.
STEP 5: With an angled liner brush, outline your wing using the shade ‘Varadero’. Be sure to apple the shade DRY and try to outline your wing as precisely as you can.
STEP 6: Using the same WET angled liner brush, go back and fill in the winged eyeliner you created in STEP 5. — Using a wet brush ensures more pigment and vibrancy.
STEP 7: Apply ‘La Costa’ as a brow bone and inner corner highlight. Tightline your top lash line with a black eyeliner, and use a white eye pencil for your lower waterline. With a WET angled liner brush, apply ‘Varadero’ on your lower lashline, bringing it only to the middle. Make sure to connect the lower lashline with your winged liner.
STEP 8: Apply mascara and lashes if you’d like, and you’re done!
I have so many more ideas of looks I want to try using this palette, so I hope you’re okay with me posting more pictorials using this palette. I will try to break them up using other palettes in between so you don’t get bored. 🙂

Thanks so much! I love summery, colorful looks 😊 and truthfully, I just remember wanting a piercing when I was 16 or 17. I used to listen to lots of punk/emo rock and two of my faves, Shawn Milke from Alesana and Casey Calvert from Hawthorne Heights had one, maybe they kind of inspired it in a way lmao. To this day they’re still my fave lol.
