Influenster Cozy VoxBox Review

Hi dolls!

I was taken by surprise when I got chosen for another box! Especially because I had been so busy with school that I haven’t had the chance to review anything on Influenster.

Anyway, thanks to Influenster for allowing me the chance to try out some goodies. 🙂

Let’s start with food…

Country Crock Buttery Spread

Product Description:

Country Crock Buttery Spread adds country fresh taste to family recipes and is made with real, simple ingredients like delicious oils, purified water and a pinch of salt.

My son and I love mashed potatoes so much! I’ve been trying to perfect my recipe to make them more delicious than the last time. Turns out, it could get better. This butter spread makes my recipe taste that much better!

We also gave a cookie recipe a try and we loved this for cookies. It was my first time making them from scratch too. Hubby said he wants me to make cookies from now on.

I’ve used this butter for years and it tastes really good. I also love it on my toast or pancakes. 🙂

Daisy’s Squeeze Sour Cream

Product Description:

I love sour cream and there are so many recipes that include this in the main dish as well as a topping. I also like to make red Mexican rice and top it with sour cream (it’s delicious, believe it or not). I also make enchiladas and add lettuce, cheese, and a dollop of Daisy. 😉

One new recipe I found on their website was scrambled eggs with sour cream. They were delicious!!

This squeeze bottles makes it so much easier to dispense sour cream, and also very fast and very clean. This item could literally be one of those “on-the-go” products.

This is not the first time I’ve heard about Ebates (a few of my personal favorite YouTube beauty guru’s use this). I think the idea of it is pretty sweet. You literally get cash back for shopping. And what’s best is that a lot of major stores are included in here (think Amazon, Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s, Kohl’s, just to name a few.)

I  used Ebates to purchase something from BH Cosmetics during Black Friday. Here’s what I got:

I have been wanting to get the Take Me to Brazil Eyeshadow Palette for months and it was always sold out when I had money to buy it. I also found this 14-piece makeup brushes set because I need new brushes.

I love my purchase and I will definitely be doing online shopping more often! 😀

I never knew these pens existed! Oh my gosh! I was a bit skeptical when I read their description. I thought back to those Bic erasable pens from way back (you know you remember) but these are WAY better! Make no mistake about it! Get it? Because you can erase mistakes? No?

These pens are so awesome that I will be using these for my blog planner. That way, I can always erase things if I make a mistake or need to change schedules. 😀 I definitely want to start getting these pens!! I will have to find a store that sells them and see if they have more colors!

Maybelline SuperStay 24 Longwear Lip Color

Product Description:

Meet the wonder that stretches the limits of longwear lip color, SuperStay 24 Longwear Lip color. This longwear lip color won’t cake, flake, fade, or dry thanks to our unique Microflex technology that leaves lips feeling fresh through 24 hours of wear.

I haven’t tried many Maybelline products because I personally don’t purchase from brands who test on animals. However, since I received this for free, I was willing to try it and see if this lip color truly lasts for as long as it claims. I did NOT wear it for 24 hours, but I did do a wear test.

Swatches:

It’s a very bold red, but some people have said that it’s not true to its color and has an orange undertone. I only saw the orange undertone a little bit. I think it may also depend on skin tone, might show up more on certain tones.

I tried using my NYX Lip Primer as a base, but this made the formula very tacky and patchy. If I pressed my lips together, the lip color moved around. This led me to believe that the primer was to blame.

I tried the lip color without the primer and the results were better. It did feel very sticky as it was drying but that goes away. The lip color stayed in place all day. Didn’t move around, flake, feather, transfer at all. I was very surprised.

The cons are they still test on animals, and this lip color can actually dry your lips quite a bit. Probably even more because winter is setting in. Also, you specifically need an oil-based makeup remover to take this off. I didn’t have any and it was such a pain to get off. It’s great that it stays on all day long as it claims, but when I’m tired, I just want to take off my makeup, wash my face, moisturize and go to bed.

Pros:

• Long-lasting
• No feathering/flaking
• No fading
• No transfer

Cons:

• Can dry out lips
• Animal testing
• Requires oil-based makeup remover

Overall, this lip color is amazing for a drugstore product. If you want a product that doesn’t transfer and doesn’t budge, this is it. I really wish they didn’t test on animals because I would definitely consider buying more shades. The lip color is great but I do have a preference.

Oh. My. Gosh! These facial wipes are SO GOOD! Seriously. I can’t believe it took me this long to try facial wipes. I always assumed they’d be hard on the skin, especially when wearing waterproof makeup, but these wipes proved me wrong!

I love how gentle these wipes feel on my face. To try them out, I started by removing my face makeup, and left my eyes for last. I wanted to really see if they worked, and to my amazement, they did! Wow! I was blown away! My waterproof eyeliner came off so effortlessly. I can’t vouch for waterproof mascara because I don’t wear those formulas, but I’m 100% positive that even if I wore waterproof mascara, my makeup would come off!

I have been looking for makeup removing products, and these are a dream come true! They take off my eye makeup completely! I still recommend washing your face afterward, (never skip your skincare routine). I recommend these wholeheartedly. I bought a pack of these facial wipes and will be going back to the store to get the hydrating oil as well. 🙂
