Hey dolls!
I meant to post something else today but I’m a little behind with it so I’m pushing it until Thursday. Instead, I’m bringing you an MOTD because I haven’t done one since my 30 Days of Makeup Challenge in September, and I thought it was time to post another.
Here’s a look using the Melisa Michelle x Ulta Makeup Palette, which I’ve already reviewed. So if you like what you see, go swatch it and/or buy it because it’s limited edition!
Watch my quickie video tutorial to see how I did this look:
Warm Purple Matte
I decided I wanted an all matte, smokey look, and I really liked how it came out. I used the shade Alana (metallic) to smoke it out a bit more and I loved that it looks like a warm purple.
In the end, I didn’t like my outfit or my hair so I changed and my husband said I looked like a punk rocker chick lol. And of course I couldn’t forget my Scorpio choker because it IS Scorpio season 😉

This makeup look is gorgeous! I love purple looks and the smokey eye is stunning. Also, I adore all the lights you have hung by your vanity. It creates both a glam and cozy feel! So pretty. ❤

I love decorative lights like that! It’s one of my favorite ways to accent a room. I feel like they just add so much!

I love these kinds of lights even for my living room to sort of create a “cozy area” 🙂 I may need to get another one 🙂

I liked both looks! I like how you smudged out the eyeshadow on the bottom I tried that look out last weekend and failed LOL! I think I just did not like how my make up look was coming out it was too dark so i redid it but I definitely want to try again soon!

It’s the same look, I just changed my clothes lol. When it comes to applying eyeshadow under the waterline, try to do the same thing you would with regular eyeshadow on the lid/crease: BLEND BLEND BLEND. It also helps to use lighter shades and then darker to create a gradient. And another thing, it’s best to slowly build up the color you want, if you do a dark shade first, you may bring it down too far down and it will make your eyes look a bit droopy. I’m still trying to get the hang of it but that’s what has helped me 🙂 but keep trying, practice makes perfect! 🙂

Your makeup area is so cute and organized! I love the high ponytail and the highlighter is so pretty!

Thanks so much! I’ve put a lot of work into my vanity since last year over the summer. 🙂 I still got a few more things to do to it but it might have to wait.
And thanks! I think with shorter hair, the ponytail seems to make my hair look more voluminous 🙂 and the highlighter is SOOO gorgeous!! Actually, the entire makeup palette is one of my faves, and the best thing about it is it suits ALL skin tones! Too bad it’s limited edition

I just get ready in the bathroom lol I wish I had a vanity!! I can’t do high ponytails without getting a headache lol, my hair is so heavy! Yours is so cute. Maybe if people like it enough the palette will go on sale again the future. 🙂

I remember doing that, lol. I hated my bathroom because the lighting was so warm I could barely see my makeup. I would recommend getting white light, it’s so much better lol.
And girl, me too! I can’t have my hair in a ponytail for too long, and lately I’ve been getting these massive headaches, I’m not sure if it’s because I’m putting my hair up, maybe I’m dehydrated, and my cousin thinks it might be a migrane, maybe all of the above. lol. I actually ALWAYS wear my hair down but this was me attempting a cute hairstyle to be different lol.
And unfortunately no, lol. The palette is still in-stock at Ulta (it’s a collab with Ulta), I’ve already done a review on it if you’d like to see it, or maybe you already have lol. But I recommend getting it because once it’s gone, it’s gone. Ulta doesn’t bring back their limited edition when they’re collabs with beauty guru’s lol.

Yeah I do my make up the same everyday so it doesn’t bother me too much that I can’t really see lol.
I put my hair in a loose pony tail or bun on my days off but I wouldn’t be able to wear a tight, high pony for too long without a headache. Your attempt was a success. 🙂 Hope your headaches go away soon.
Oh lol I thought if it like the mcrib at McDonald’s lol if people ask for it enough, they put it back on the menu for a bit lol. I’m not really into palettes and stuff but must be super special if they aren’t ever going to make them again! You’re lucky to have snagged one. 😉

Lol makes sense. You wouldn’t need super flashy or dramatic makeup.
And they have. My godmother said it could be stress lmao so idk it could be many things but I’m feeling so much better.
Hahaha it’s “special” in the sense that it’s limited edition made by a beauty guru, AND it was made with all skin tones in mind, so no matter what skin tone you have, you can still rock this palette. And honestly, no other beauty guru does that. They only make what THEY would wear but Melisa made hers to suit skin tones across the board. I think that’s neat. So yeah, perhaps it is special in a way. And girl it’s only $20, which is a steal in my opinion lol. 9 eyeshadows, a highlighter, blush and a lipstick.

I’m glad you’re feeling better now! And I love that she made the palette for all skin tones. That is def rare!

How pretty! I really like your eye shape. I very rarely wear make up but need to for my wedding, so I’ve been looking for ideas. 🙂
