Unboxing — July 2019 Boxycharm

Heyy dolls!

I’m sharing what I received in my July Boxycharm today! I haven’t mentioned it on the blog, but I will be cancelling this subscription once I receive my last BoxyLuxe, which will be in September.

Anyway, I explain that a bit more in the video and will explain it another time just ’cause I don’t want to take up your time. So let’s get to it!

Theme: Au Naturale

My box actually arrived pretty mangled, but luckily nothing was damaged. I think the theme is lovely and pretty much all the products fit into the natural theme.

  • Luxie Gaea 3 Piece Brush Set
  • Butter London Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette
  • Luna by Luna Lip Gloss in Venus
  • Koh Gen Do Spa Cleansing Water Cloths
  • Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask

First Impressions:

I did already try all the products for the first time in my unboxing video (see down below) and the real winners for me were the Luxie brushes, the Koh Gen Do Cleansing Water Cloths, and the Elemis Veggie Mask. Right now I’m more focused on skincare as I’m still trying to find products that work for me, but these were amazing.

As for the makeup, the Butter London eyeshadow palette and the Luna by Luna lip gloss, my thoughts are divided, 50/50. I had really dry eyelids when I tried the palette yesterday so first impressions were kind of a fail, but I do plan on playing with it a bit more just to be sure that it was me and not the palette itself. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t give it another go. The lip gloss felt nice and comfortable but felt more like a creamy lipstick than a gloss and I’m not sure I like the shade as much for a gloss, but again, will give it another go, maybe I’ll change my mind.

Unboxing & Try-On:

I do try on ALL the products on my video, as I mentioned, some I’m not too sure about but overall, I think it was a pretty good box.

  1. I’ve heard amazing things about the Luxie brushes! I don’t subscribe to any beauty boxes at the moment. I found I accumulated too many products that I didn’t end up liking, and I didn’t know what to do with them!

    1. I’m actually going to cancel this subscription once I get my final boxyluxe in September. It is partially because I’ve accumulated a lot of products too but also because I feel like I want to try specific products and I cannot afford to buy them while subbed to this one lol.

      1. Yea, I hear you. I used to subscribe to Birchbox for a few years, and while I definitely discovered some new products/brands that I liked, there was just too many items I didn’t like. Then I felt stuck with them! I finally cancelled when they raised the monthly subscription fee. I was like, I’m outta here!

        1. Omg when Birchbox changed a few things people were unsubscribing so fast lol. I wonder how they’re doing because I hardly hear anyone being subscribed to them now a days. They used to be far more popular four years ago when I first started blogging.

          1. Yea I think they were one of the originals along with Glossy Box. Now there’s so many subscription boxes out there I can’t keep it straight! I’m not so in love with the idea anymore though personally. Too much accumulating every month.

          2. I can’t keep up with them anymore, maybe I will treat myself to a quarterly box once or twice a year if the spoilers look nice enough, but I’m kind of wanting to try something other than beauty.

  2. That Elemis veggie mask sounds amazing and like it would be a real treat for the skin 😍😍 Beautiful! I’m definitely going to treat myself to that asaaaap!!! I love that it’s a veggie mask, I mean, it sounds like an earthy, healthy dream! I feel my skin is craving it right now 😂 The brushes look really nice too!!! And you look so pretty in your unboxing video Rossy 😍 I love those turquoise colours too! Uh! Why do all colours suit you? You look amazing with all looks!

    1. OH MY GOSH the mask was AMAZING!! Seriously! It felt so luxe, and I did not experience anything unpleasant. It seems like the perfect mask for summer weather. It honestly does feel so nice but it is expensive!
Awh thank you!! I wasnt feeling that turquoise/teal look on the eyes for some reason, but again, it could have been me lol. Thanks so much you’re the sweetest!!

  3. I love the natural theme for summer! That’s so pretty and fits really well during a season when most people want to go more natural anyway. I’m glad your products weren’t damaged even though the box was! That’s intriguing to know your thoughts on the lip gloss so I’m curious, do you find yourself enjoying lip gloss or lipstick more?

    1. Yeah exactly, it’s a good theme and everything represented/reflected the theme quite well.
I think it depends, I love lip gloss for days when I want natural makeup whereas lipstick is really good for days when I want something more, does that make sense?

  4. Giiiirl your photography skills are amazing and it’s getting late so I’ll be sure to check out your youtube tomorrow! I’m into skin care too at the moment so it’s great that you got some good picks! The other day I tried on a dead sea mask and it smelt TERRIBLE but nonetheless, made my face really smooth and removed blackheads! And it didn’t feel tight on my skin like other masks so that was a plus. Awesome post!

    1. Thanks so much! Skincare is definitely my fave over makeup at the moment, my skin has never looked better lol.
Ah yeah scent can totally ruin a product for me but nice to hear that it worked fine for you
