Product Empties — September to December 2019

Hello my dolls!

Happy New Year’s Eve to you all!

Today I wanted to share with you my final regular empties of the year! This is also my last video of 2019, I didn’t mean to post this one the very LAST day of the year, but oh well… Here we are, lol. Let’s get started!

My Final Empties Post of 2019

Haircare / Bath & Body

First up are products I’ve shared with you guys, I’m sure. The HASK Keratin Protein Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner. This might be my 2nd or 3rd set by now and so far it’s one of my favorites and works so well for my hair. It doesn’t feel like my hair gets stripped, it gives me a nice shine and smoothness and softness. I am currently trying out other shampoo/conditioner but if I don’t like the other ones, these will remain HG for now.

I’ve talked endlessly about the Bolero Pure Vegetable Soap bars, and this time I finished a Coconut Oil & Sea Salt one. I liked it as usual, the coconut scent is mild, it lathers up wonderfully, and it only cost me a dollar.

When I went to the coast over the summer, I just had to grab these two Cascadia Soapery Hemp & Lemon Shampoo samples because I really liked them and how refreshing they felt on my hair. Loved the lemon and hemp in them and how the brand really aims to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Will have to find this brand around here, I hope.

Lastly from this section, a Coconut Lip Balm from my Dentist’s Office, lol. Not a fan of the scent because it smells a bit of coconut, but it’s very moisturizing and among one of the best I’ve ever tried, strangely LOL.

Skincare

Another Bolero are Cleansing Coconut & Rose Oil Moisturizing Facial Wipes (x2) that I managed to empty. I don’t recommend these for your face, they’re a bit scratchy and rough so instead I ended up using them to take swatches off my arm and to sometimes clean my makeup brushes lol. That’s really all they’re good for.

I recently did a whole One Brand Focus on e.l.f. for you guys, and I talked about their Nourishing Night Cream which so happens to be my second favorite after the Derma-e Night Cream. It’s more affordable than Derma-e and just as lightweight and easily sinks into my skin. I have already repurchased and still love it. It was so good during the summer and nothing has changed going into the winter.

I got a trio from Fourth Ray Beauty back in March; the Watermelon Seed Oil and the Matcha Face Milk and was glad when I finally emptied them this month. I incorporated these two into my Skincare Routine for Summer and loved them during the summer but not so much for the winter. They’re lightweight and absorb quickly into my skin, and even though they’re supposed to be moisturizing, I felt like I needed more. And if I tried to use more of the oil, it would leave my skin feeling too greasy whereas the face milk was simply not enough. Also, the watermelon seed oil wasn’t my favorite scent.. I will have to do a full review of the trio for you guys in the upcoming weeks.

Miscellaneous

The entire month of December I’ve been dealing with lots of stress and anxiety so it’s no surprise that I managed to empty this many CBD products.

First up, the Hemp Bombs CBD Gummies which I think I got while in Vegas. They were really good as were the Green Roads CBD Fruit Bites (50mg). They do have a cannabis after-taste, not sure how to describe it, but they did make me feel relaxed. Even though they’re not as potent, I liked eating these almost daily.

My favorite ones are the WYLD CBD Infused Strawberry Gummies. They are more potent than the other two and make me feel relaxed. I used to eat one before bed so I can be relaxed by the time I tried to go to sleep because of my insomnia and it helped. I did like them during the day as well but tried to save them for when I really* needed them. Again, these are more potent with each gummy containing about 25mg compared to 10mg on the others.

NOTE: While I do recommend CBD to anyone dealing with anxiety, I do HIGHLY suggest you do your research, ask your doctor, etc. because edible CBD may not work the same way for you as it does for me. Also, CBD is not for everyone.

Makeup

Lastly, some makeup products, starting with some Wet n Wild False Eyelashes in two styles, Shredding the Fringe and Shutter Shock. I think Shutter Shock were more on the natural side and Shredding the Fringe a bit more dramatic. I honestly don’t remember. They’re good for beginners (because they’re affordable), easy to apply, flexible, but lash glue sucks so get another. I really liked these when I started using falsies but not so much anymore as I found a better pair…

Speaking of a better pair of lashes, the BH Cosmetics False Eyelashes in the style M-202 are probably my favorite! This is the 2nd pair I’m tossing this year and I really really wore the shit out of them LOL. I’m not sure if they’re actually reusable or not but I tried to take care of them as best as I could in order to use them again. Anyway, I haven’t been able to repurchase these because they’re always sold out, but they’re so beautiful, elegant, fluttery, I love them! ALso the glue is pretty good too!

Next is the Wet n Wild Lash-o-Matic Mascara Fiber Extension Kit that kind of disappointed me. I never got consistent results, I felt like I had to put in extra effort into this and the fibers would always go into my eye even when I was being extra careful. It seemed like too much work and I tried different methods of application and still nothing. Save your money and find a different fiber extension kit or buy a really good mascara.

Lastly, two brow products. The Colourpop Cosmetics Brow Boss Brow Pencil in Brunette which had a slight orange undertone. I really liked how thin the pencil was and how buildable it was. I did use the Brow Gal Instatint Tinted Brow Gel with Microfibers to cancel out the orange undertones (of this pencil and others). I really liked the brush in this gel and how it didn’t come out too wet. Both of these were really good products. The CP pencil I’ve already repurchased while the Brow Gal gel I haven’t looked into to see the price. Maybe I can find a more affordable drugstore brow gel in the meantime.

Alright you guys, my final post of 2019! Thanks for joining me another year and I look forward to seeing all your posts I might have missed and any and all new content you might have! May the new year brings you all great health, happiness, and love! xx

  1. Cascadia Soapery sounds like a wonderful brand! I’ll have to see if I can find anything by them anywhere near me. That’s amazing you used up a whole lip balm– I always lose mine before I ever get to. 😭 Not a big fan of the coconut scent, either, though.

Looking forward to your full review of the FRB trio! Sad to hear the oil & milk weren’t the best. & I remember when you picked those CBD Gummies. I hate edibles because of that cannabis taste you mentioned! Loved that they worked to help relax you!

You got so many Empties this time around, Rossy!! Good job!! I almost have mine ready but probably won’t publish until next week. I don’t think I have half as much though. 😛

    1. It is, and I have tried and tried to find it somewhere, even online and it has been VERY hard! I even sent them an email a week ago asking where I could purchase and they haven’t gotten back to me 😦 their site doesn’t specify much except the sample sizes of everything, so worse case, they only have those at the hotel we stayed in.
Yeah same, I wanted to like them more than I did lol
They totally did help, I don’t have anymore gummies at the moment, except two vape pens, but the one I like is running the out lol.
Thank you! I’m sure you had enough to make a post. The holiday season is hard and not everyone makes finishing products a priority so don’t worry 😉

      1. Oooh, maybe they are a company that only wholesales to hotels? Do you like the gummies or vape pens better? We ate some THC gummies today lol.

        I think I had a good amount for a post & I’m already starting a new pile. Yay! 😁

        1. Probably 😕
And I think I like the vape pen better because I feel like it takes effect quicker, especially when I need it. Alex got me some THC gummies a few weeks ago and I tried one, but I was right, my body cannot tolerate THC in my system anymore. It gives me a bit of anxiety and I feel paranoid even if I’m all happy and enjoying my time. The only way I was able to get through the high was because I was drinking and I think it kind of mellowed it out. Lol.
Alright, so you posted your empties already? I started a new pile too. So far one sheet mask, I cannot wait for the week to end so i can use another lol.

          1. Gosh, I hope that never happens to me. I hear a lot of people who used to enjoy weed start to get anxiety from it. Your body just doesn’t like it but at least the CBD works for you!

No, not yet! I’m saving it for my next Beauty Tuesday. 😉 Do you use exfoliator on the same day as your sheet mask or on differing days of the week?

          2. I think it was because I had a panic attack, like my first really bad one when I was under the influence and even though I kept smoking after that ordeal, my body still remembers that so maybe that’s why i get paranoid and not well when i smoke it now. And frankly, the weed Alex gets is always much stronger with little to no CBD and also taking into account how I havent smoked in a very long time well….yeah lol
Thankfully CBD works like a charm for me haha
I sometimes do exfoliate and use a sheet mask on the same day, but I try not to, because my skin might be feeling a bit raw after using certain exfoliators, and also depending on what mask I use, it might sting my skin around my nose, that’s my most sensitive area.

          3. Oh gosh yeah that could totally be it! I didn’t realize that the weed we smoked didn’t really have any CBD until Alex mentioned that to us! So interesting.

            Ah yeah that makes sense!!

          4. Yeah we learned about CBD a few years ago shortly after I realized I probably couldn’t have it anymore lol. I think we saw a documentary about marijuana and they mentioned it there too, don’t remember. It’s good to know though. 🙂

  2. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion on the products! You have done a lot of work with your posts and it is appreciated! Oh…I have never worn fake eyelashes…lol I have always had long lashes and with mascara even more.

    1. Thank you so much! Emptying products is a lot of work Haha
And oh gosh, bless you! I’m jealous of those who have beautiful long lashes and don’t need to use falsies, mine are practically non existent haha
