e.l.f. Hydrating Ever After Skincare Mini Kit

Hi everyone!

I am back! I will have to update you guys on my life at some point since I was gone for a few months again, but for now let’s take a look at this wonderful mini skincare kit from e.l.f. Cosmetics.

This whole kit has hydrating products which served me well in the winter, and were also perfect for traveling. I did find the creams a bit thick for the summer but they were great nonetheless. I repurchased this kit again because I really loved all the products and my skin really needed the extra hydration. And now that I’ve gotten the chance to really try them until the very last drop, I think it’s time to share my thoughts on these products with you.

Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm

Product Description: A solid balm cleanser that melts into a luxurious oil and turns into a nourishing milk texture that instantly melts away makeup without stripping the skin. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, ceramides and peptides leaving skin feeling plumped with hydration.

Mini Net. Weight & Price: 0.45 OZ (13g) / $5.00 USD

I really liked the texture of this balm, it feels so smooth and melts pretty much instantly. My skin feels nourished and moisturized even though it’s removing makeup. I also appreciate that it doesn’t feel oily or greasy which has turned me away from some other makeup removing balms because then it feels like an oily mess. For it’s price, I’d say it’s worth it, it also lasted me quite a bit. I may end up purchasing the full size when I run out of cleansing balms.

Daily Cleanser

Product Description: A gel-based foaming cleanser that helps wash away excess oil, impurities and makeup. Formulated with hyaluronic acid and ceramides, leaving skin feeling moisturized, clean and healthy-looking.

Mini Net Weight & Price: 1.01 FL OZ (30.0 mL) / $4.00 USD

This cleanser is one of the reasons I bought this skincare mini kit again. Now I know you’re thinking why not just buy the full size, yes, but getting everything else seemed like a bargain, and I wanted to be sure I really liked it. This cleanser is small but lasts me a long time. It feels deeply moisturizing and my face doesn’t feel stripped. I also really love gel-based cleansers for the summer in particular. They feel much lighter which my skin really needs. I’ll leave my cream cleansers for the colder months.

Hydrating Booster Drops

Product Description: This lightweight booster supercharges your routine for instant hydration to help create plump looking skin. These concentrated booster drops can be used alone or added into any foundation, liquid, or cream. Infused with Vitamin E.

Mini Net Weight & Price: 0.14 FL OZ (4.2 mL) / $3.00 USD

These booster drops were another reason to buy this skincare mini kit. I could not find the full size in-store (weirdly) and I didn’t want to buy only one item online. These drops deliver immense hydration to my skin and I typically tend to use it during the day time more than the night time, to prep my skin for the day. I’ve also mixed them with my face cream and it felt great! I still haven’t tried mixing them into my foundation but I probably should before the summer ends.

Eye Cream

Product Description: A rich eye cream infused with hyaluronic acid and peptides that is non-greasy and fast-absorbing. This cream deeply moisturizes the eye area while minimizing dark circles. Ideal for wearing under makeup to lock in moisture.

Mini Net Weight & Price: 0.23 OZ (6.5g) / $4.00 USD

This eye cream is great and I use it to prep for when I will be doing eye makeup. I feel like it hydrates the area more, and my eyelids are also less dry and patchy. I prefer using this eye cream during the day as well due to its lightweight texture. I also can’t believe how long this little thing lasts me!

Face Cream

Product Description: This nourishing lightweight moisturizer instantly sinks into the skin for smooth, non-greasy feel and soft, supple skin. It helps brighten and even out skin tone, lock in moisture and promote a plumped up, bouncy complexion!

Skin Type: Combination, Dry, Oily, Sensitive and Normal.

Mini Net Weight & Price: 0.529 OZ. (15g) / $5.00 USD

Ah yes, the face cream! Truthfully one of my favorite and most affordable day creams ever. So lightweight, bouncy, hydrates and absorbs quickly into my skin. It sits well underneath my current SPF from No7, I literally have no complaints.

Pros & Cons:

A quick break down of what’s good about these products and/or skincare kit.
I literally have no complaints. e.l.f. blows me away with their quality time and time again.

Pros:

  • Hydrating Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, Ceramides, Peptides
  • Travel Size
  • All products except face cream are suitable for all skin types
  • Free from sulfates, phthalates, parabens, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, triclocarban, and hydroquinone.
  • Vegan & cruelty-free!

Cons:

  • None

I enjoyed trying these products both the first and second time. I think the second time around I appreciated them way more and also visibly noticed the difference they made when I put them into rotation. I highly recommend this brand in general and I have stood by them for more than 10 years. They continue to impress me by providing affordable, quality skincare. I’ve found so many favorites within this brand than any other, so yes, go out and find this kit for yourself and try it out.

  1. Thanks for this detailed review, it’s been very helpful. I’m a little concerned about Elf prodcuts sometimes, but this article is mind-blowing! The makeup melting cleansing blam seems a good match for my fry skin…I’ll give it a shot in the near future for sure πŸ™‚

    1. You are so welcome!
Yes, elf can* be hit or miss which is why I always tend to try their minis if they’re available first, to know for sure. As someone who’s used their stuff for over 10 years, I can definitely say their makeup has come a long way in terms of quality, but their skincare is definitely dependent on the user and each person’s preferences.
      Thanks for stopping by xx
