Influenster Voxbox L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Review

Hey guys!

I’ve mentioned a lot that I’m behind on several posts, and this would be one of them! I meant to post this about two weeks ago but I became very busy and had to put this together in the past three days.

Anyway, this will be a review on the new L’Oreal Elvive Revive Extraordinary Oil.

Disclosure: I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I have given my honest opinion.

I was excited to hear I got into this campaign, and I was curious as to which product I had gotten. At first I thought “great, another oil, I have a ton others I need to use up”. I wasn’t pleased to have received another oil, because I feel like a lot of them work for my hair to a certain extent but they can make my hair look oily. I was also pretty skeptical because a lot of hair oils and serums have their own claims on how great they can be for your hair, but my hair is fussy and not everything works the way I would like it to.

Formula:

This hair oil is formulated with lightweight flower oils such as camellia and sunflower. The oil itself it really silky soft and it has a pleasant scent. This oil is designed to nourish dry hair, and leave it feeling soft and silky as well as shiny. It is also ultra-versatile and universal use, so you can get real good use out of it and still benefit from it regardless of method.

Application:

This hair oil can be used in many different ways:

  1. Before shampoo for nourishment
  2. Before styling to control hair
  3. To polish strands for no frizz and fly-aways
  4. As a finishing touch for softness and shine
  5. Can be used on wet AND dry hair

I have only used it on my wet hair when I wash it, and on dry hair if I feel like my hair needs it. I still have yet to use it before shampoo or before styling, as I don’t often use heat tools, especially during the winter.

Results:

So I was very skeptical because every hair oil and serum have the same claims, but often I felt like many actually weigh my hair down. This oil however, practically transformed my hair and gave it life! And no, I’m not exaggerating.

My hair has always been really frizzy and dry. I have tried countless oils, sulfate-free shampoos, and other treatments, only to find that my hair was seriously missing another product but I couldn’t figure out what product that was.

During the winter when my hair is the frizziest and driest, I struggle to style it but ever since I started using this oil, my hair has less frizz, it is soo soft and feels very healthy and hydrated, and it has an amazing shine without weighing my hair down and still keeping its volume.

I’m able to put my hair up in a ponytail or in a bun and go about my day without wasting time trying to keep my fly-aways at bay with hair spray or other oils that just make my hair really oily. I have yet to find another hair oil that works so quickly, but this will be a staple in my hair care until I can find another one that is cruelty free.

        1. Well you will have other opportunities, in fact, if you just review lots of products through Influenster, you’ll get other badges, and those also count towards you getting more boxes πŸ™‚
And yes πŸ™‚ I remember your review, you said the scent was far too much for you, so I made a note of it to include it πŸ™‚

    1. It does! It works so well and I have noticed a difference one week later
I still use it everytime I wash my hair. And same, some scented things can be stronger than others, but sometimes it’s best to avoid them overall. Some scents give me headaches lol.
