Unboxing — September 2018 Boxycharm

Happy Tuesday!

I’ve been so busy since the weekend trying to finish up some projects so I can move on to other ones. I’ve already started planning for my son’s 4th birthday and have been doing a lot of DIY decorations and I’m so excited to show you guys some of those later! 🙂

But for now, let’s get on to what I received in my September Boxycharm! 🙂

Theme: Wild Flower

As most of you know by now, Boxycharm introduced BoxyLuxe, and I was hoping to get it this month but they sold out super fast and I was only a few hours late to the invite lol. Rest assured, I’m getting my first BoxyLuxe in December and I cannot wait!

Contents:

  • Butter London Glazen Lustrous Liner in Disco
  • Hank & Henry Matte Liquid Lipstick in Petal Pusher
  • Alamar Cosmetics Ojitos Brush Set
  • Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten in Tropic Hues
  • Pretty Vulgar Nightingale Smokey Eyeshadow Palette

First Impressions:

I’m excited to try a new liner (Butter London) because mine are slowly drying up. I’ve never heard of the brand Hank & Henry but I hope it’s a good quality liquid lipstick considering it’s $17 USD. I do think the packaging of the lipstick is cute!

I love that I received the Alamar Cosmetics Ojitos brush set because they only have two products, this brush set and their Reina del Caribe palette which we all received back in June, so yay! I can say I have the full collection (so far).

I don’t believe I’ve tried anything from Laura Geller and a lot of people rave about their products, so hopefully I like this blush. It looks so gorgeous on the pan but I’m worried it will …. 1) not suit my skin tone, and 2) look more like a highlight than a blush.

Lastly, the palette. I received a blush from Pretty Vulgar in a previous box and I loved it. Cosmobyhaley also loves their palettes so I hope I can get some good use out of this. I just have no idea what kind of looks to create with this palette and lately I’ve been leaning more towards colorful looks… All I can say is it might be good for every day looks.

What did you guys get in your box this month??

    1. Thank you! I might wait to use the blush since I need to go out today haha but I’m excited to hear that it’s very pigmented because that means I won’t have to use so much 😀
And which highlighter? Forgive my ignorance, I don’t know much about Laura Geller lol

    1. I do love that it’s pretty cool toned, and I don’t have a palette like it, but I’m worried after a while I won’t care much for it LOL.. We’ll see. If all else fails I’ll just end up sending it to my mom and sister and maybe one of them could get good use out of it 🙂

  1. Eeeek! I’m excited to see what DIY projects you’ve been working on & what theme you choose for Ciel’s party this year! 😄

    1. I have two done, just need more photos. And one other is one i haven’t gotten around to yet but I’m excited to do it and hopefully it comes out okay lol. I’ll just wait to tell you until the big reveal haha
Yes it’s a good box, for the first time in MONTHS I will be trying all the products. I feel like the past boxes I only try one or two, three max and stash away the rest if they’re mascaras or for giveaways if I’m not using something lol.
