October 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Reveal

Happy Friday!!

Since I had to push several posts this week, this one is getting posted a bit late. I got my Ipsy bag in the mail on Tuesday and I’m barely getting around to showing it to you guys!

So let’s just jump right in and see what I got!

Theme: Spellbound

So first… When I saw the spoilers of the bag, I thought it was really going to be made with lace, but instead it’s just the lace pattern. So that’s a little disappointing, but the subscription IS* $10, and honestly, what other subscription do you know of that gives you makeup bags like these?! Ok, moving on..

The lace pattern on the bag and the colors go so well together and I think it’s the perfect bag for the month of October. And I just loooove the little bat detail in the zipper, super adorable!!

Bag Contents

  • Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Oil Treatment

  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion
  • MDMflow Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro

  • MEECH AND MIA Loose Eyeshadow in Purple

  • tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara

First Impressions

I’m not sure how much I’ll like the MDMflow lipstick or the MEECH AND MIA loose eyeshadow. The lipstick looks like a shade I won’t use as often and the reviews given on Ipsy are terrible. I don’t like loose eyeshadows because they tend to be kind of messy, but I’m glad it’s the purple shade and not the beige, as the other looks more orange.

I’ve also been getting lots of hair oils in my subscriptions, so I’m not all that excited to get another because it’s hard to use those up.

On the other hand, the two products I’m most excited about are the tarte mascara (which will remain unopened therefore it will not get reviewed) and the Urban Decay eye pencil.

What did you guys get on your Ipsy bag?

I love the Ipsy bag this month, it’s super cute. I miss getting Ipsy’s and then you reminded me how many hair oils they send. LOL. Why will you not open the Tarte mascara??

    1. I know it’s adorable. I love the bat on the zipper lol. And yeah, I think this is the 3rd hair oil? I like hair oils but they’re just so hard to finish up, I may end up giving some of the ones I have to my cousin or something.
And I just have so many mascaras at the moment, and I would like to take my time with each one since you kinda have to “break them in”, just one use won’t show its full potential, and if I like it, I can use it constantly and by the time three months comes around I can try another one. I just wouldn’t want them to go to waste if I like them because a bunch of mine dried up after opening them and only trying them a handful of times.

The bat is super cute!! Lol. My hair doesn’t need any hair oils really. When I moved I found so many mini bottles of hair oils from Ipsy and dry shampoos from birchbox lol.

OOh I totally understand about the mascaras. I loved loved loved getting mascaras in my bags the most, no matter how many I got.

I lovedd the bag the products came in this month. Ipsy is going strong with the cute make up bags the past few months! I got three of the same things as you; the oil, eyeliner, and mascara…. LOVEEE the oil I throw it on my ends after the shower and I let my hair air dry and my bleached ends are actually not crispy (ew) anymore haha it definitely works really good so I hope it works good on yours too!!!!

    1. I know right?! The bags are super cute!! Can’t wait to see the spoilers for next month!
Interesting, I still haven’t tried it. I’ve been way too busy to really get into my hair routine so I’ve been skipping hair oils and other hair care products I usually use lol. That’s good that you like it and that it works well for you! I hope it’s good for my hair too 🙂
