Decluttering My Vanity — November 2019

Heyy my dolls!

I bring you another declutter because it was about time! I did a declutter back in February and I wanted to do this again so I could get rid of more makeup and also have something to give to my mom while she was here.

So.. I do have a video on my channel if you like to watch cleaning vids lol.
P.S. Video and post are different!

For this post, I will be showing you all the products I’m decluttering—what my mom ended up taking and what is going in the trash. Let’s get started!

November 2019 Declutter

Here are all the products I decluttered that was a mix of throwaways and also products my mom was welcome to take if she liked any (provided they weren’t expired).

There are a few products that I may not mention below, such as the Revolution Reloaded Palette — Iconic Division Palette, as I’ve already reviewed that before. Also one lipstick snuck its way in here when it was meant to be kept, the Bare Minerals GEN Nude Lip that you will see below lol.

So let’s break it down a bit, I’ll try to be brief . . .

Below are the following:

  • Pretty Vulgar Eyeliner (throw away, dried out)
  • Milani Stay Put Brow Color (throw away, dried out)
  • Tarte Lipstick in Salt Lyfe (didn’t mean to put in here)
  • IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer (throw away, too thick for me)
  • Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in DTLA (haven’t used it)
  • Ciate London Fierce Flicks Eyeliner (throw awaydidn’t like it)
  • Mellow Cosmetics Brow Pencil (throw away, too dry, it broke, not my shade)
  • Elizabeth Mott Queen of the Fill Tinted Brow Gel (throw away)

The only products my mom took were the CP Creme Gel Liner and the Tarte Lipstick because she liked them and she might use them. I honestly haven’t reached for those at all since I prefer black eyeliners and the lipstick was too light for me.

Next are some lipsticks which I’ll swatch for you instead so you can get a better idea of the actual shades. First up the NYX Cosmetics Extra Creamy Round Lipsticks.

I really did like most of the shades but I have had all of them for years which by now are either expired or getting there, so I just decided to toss them all out. If I ever want them again, I can go pick one up or two, they’re affordable anyway.

These next are a mix of new and old, some were too light for me (Too Faced, and tarte above), others I didn’t like the formula (Appeal, WnW, MDMFlow) and the rest I just never reached for.

From above, the BareMinerals GEN Nude wasn’t meant to be in there, so I kept it. But my mom ended up taking the Appeal Holo Gloss because she thought it was subtle on her and she likes that. She also took the Sephora, Too Faced and MDMflow lipsticks.

Next are the products that I separated for my mom and sis. They’re all in good condition, barely used, etc.

  • RealHer Cheek Palette
  • Pacifica Beach Crystals (Ipsy exclusive)
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paarty (too light for me)
  • Urban Decay Single Shadow (forgot the shade, hardly used but super pretty)
  • Luna by Luna Lip Gloss
  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Athens
  • NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee
  • Grande Lash Boosting Mascara (NEW, unopened)
  • treStique Good Vibes Mascara (NEW, unopened)

She liked everything and in the end if she doesn’t like something I’m sure she will throw it away lol. I’d rather let her try it out first and see if she likes it on her own.

Lastly, some products from my Project Pan.

I’m decluttering the Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple Ombre Radiance Blush Palette (long fucking name, but ok) because I did hit pan and even though there’s still some left, it’s really hard trying to take the rest of the product out.

The Wet n Wild Coverall Corrrecting Palette I don’t use anymore and also the formula is a bit too thick for my liking now and also, I don’t own full coverage formulas so whenever I use the green concealer, I have a really hard time covering it up.

The NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien I believe my mom took? I can’t remember, I just got tired of those lip crayons. I think I officially realized they’re not my thing LOL.

Lastly, the Elizabeth Mott POP Goes the Shadow. I accomplished hitting pan, but then after using it for so long, I just wasn’t a fan anymore. For an everyday shade it’s okay but at times I did find it a bit too dark for what I wanted some days.

So there you have it guys. Another successful declutter. I will be sure to keep putting stuff aside for my mom and sis because they’re both starting to get into makeup so I will keep in mind to keep other neutral palettes for them.

But yes, so glad to have finished this declutter because it’s been a long time coming. And since I don’t really have any subscriptions anymore I will be able to go through my makeup again before the end of the year to prepare for my 2020 Project Pan lol.

I might have a lookbook and another video before I take off for Vegas on Thursday. I miss you all so much and I’ve been doing really well with keeping up with your content! 🙂

What were you guys up to over the weekend?
Have an amazing Tuesday!

    1. Thank you, it’s tough sometimes, always thinking I need to keep some things lol. And lipsticks tend to be the hardest lol. So many unique shades that would be nice to keep for some creative look but then never reaching for them

  1. De-cluttering is so so vital, in a lot of things- Wardrobe, accumulated newspapers, magazines, books, plastic and paper wrappers etc.
Yet putting in de-cluttering effort is so so vital.
I would surely check out the video as well.

  2. I need to do another declutter ASAP, you got rid of a good amount of stuff & I love that most of it was ae to go to your mom & sister. That RealHer cheek palette looks really pretty & those Urban Decay single shadows are my absolute favorite. I’m not a fan of those lip crayons, either, unless it’s balm. 😛 Can’t wait to see what’s included in your 2020 Project Pan!

P.S. I definitely LOL’d at “(long fucking name, but ok).” 😂

    1. I like to get rid of things. In fact, I love decluttering. I do it all the time with other stuff around my house but somehow more shit accumulates? I really want to do a whole house cleaning. One room each day. Deep cleaning. I hear the Japanese do that each year before the year ends. It’s like some kind of ritual. Getting rid of things that are no longer useful or necessary to have or something like that. I’m sure I have some aspects wrong LOL.
I love the UD shadow too but wasn’t reaching for it often. I don’t want all this stuff just sitting on my vanity either. Figured it would be better if it went to a new home.
Ah thanks for reminding me, I really need to start picking things out for next year and have it ready before the year starts so I can get right on it LOL

      1. Ah I hate cleaning but I do like throwing things away LOL. I have heard about that Japanese ritual before. Or you could watch that Marie Kondo lady people are going cuckoo over?

You’re right, if you’re not using it & someone else will, it’s much better to give it away. 🙂 Haha, happy to remind you!!

        1. Eh, not really a fan of Marie Kondo. Another blogger a long time ago wrote about Mari Kondo and her ways and how it might seem a bit weird to allow an inanimate object to hold joy for you. And I agree. Material things shouldn’t bring anyone joy, like I get it for when it comes to decluttering, but what about people who have a real problem? Everything brings them joy or the thing holds a memory or something. Idk.. . I’m still so-so about that lady LOL
